Downtown Yoga Ocean Springs

I did two back-to-back 6 week sessions of Essential Yoga for Beginners with Ellen. I'd done some yoga before, mostly following along with YouTube videos, but hadn't taken many in-person classes. Visiting Downtown Yoga in Ocean Springs became the highlight of each week. (Totally worth the 30+ minute drive from Gulfport!) The calming space that Ellen and her studio provides was something I looked forward to, especially after a long work day. We're moving away from the Coast, otherwise I would definitely continue taking classes at Downtown Yoga. Highly recommend!

I took my first yoga classes here and it was really great! Ellen is an amazing teacher; she really loves yoga and enjoys passing on her knowledge. Every session left me so calm, yet feeling so alive. I still have a lot to learn about yoga, but after 6 weeks I now know enough to have a home practice. Thanks for the amazing experience!

To appreciate this review, you have to understand the two reasons I practice yoga. First, I practice to quiet my mind while maintaining physical flexibility. When I moved to the area (1/23), I read all the reviews about what type of practice was done at various studios. Downtown Yoga Ocean Spring’s information led me to believe I could achieve my objectives. Ellen, Nathalie, and Hannah’s classes help me reach my goals through flexible practices that invigorate my spirit. Finally, as a man, I have visited studios where I was intruding. Yogies at Downtown Yoga O. S. do not project these vibes.
