The crew worked magic and in just a couple of days, they had put down grass seed for a turf area, put in a beautiful shade perennial garden under and around our giant maple tree, and created a sweet little area for seating. “We've been using Albrecht Irrigation for many years, and have always been very happy with them, but after their visit a few days ago for Spring Startup, their man Ray went so above and beyond with his excellent service that I had to take time out to write this review. He not only did the startup. He not only diligently checked all of the heads and made necessary repairs. But he also made several adjustments to the system for optimal watering as appropriate to each of our 10 zones. And he discovered a leak, which needed to be repaired another day. So he made adjustments to shut down just that zone, and then redirected other heads to cover that area, so that we'd have coverage pending the leak repair. Ray was very friendly, and readily explained everything to us. He genuinely cared about us, and about making sure our whole irrigation system would be running perfectly. He obviously takes pride in his work. My wife and I were in awe of his expertise and dedication. He is the salt of the earth. Thank you so much!“

“We have hired Biota to perform year round maintenance on our property which includes pruning, weeding, planting, trimming, overall plant maintenance, mulching, and so much more. Weekly email communication/updates on what was done during the visits is very helpful, not to mention in person check ins.

“Christian and his team replaced my roof back in 2022 as part of the purchase agreement when I bought the home. I was having issues with ice dams and water penetration with the dormers for the last few years. I called him up when I had a leak from the latest rain that we got. It was determined that the flashing along the dormers was installed incorrectly. He was willing to have the crew come out and reinstall the correct step flashing.

The fact that he was willing to help make it right and stand behind his work nearly 4 years later speaks volume. He didn’t complain about it, he didn’t try to argue with me or downplay the issue. He just did the right thing, even when it probably wasn’t convenient for him. He is someone that I would want to do business with in the future.“

- given a DETAILED description of the work that would be performed and HOW it would be performed; as well as provided pictures of the trees that would be taken down to make sure exact work performed was what I requested
- Had all my questions answered about the manner in which the work would be performed during initial business
- Received a very fair quote for the work to be performed
- Was given recommendations on how best the work should be done
- on the day of the work, plywood was laid down in the yard to protect the grass, etc, as large machinery needed to be used
- I observed excellent team work from the climbers/cutters, machine operators (crane, etc) and trimmers
- the work was done EXTREMELY efficiently and timely
- clean up was impeccable...raking, picking up of even the smallest branches, etc...outstanding

Honestly, about the only improvement I might recommend is a little better communication...I requested the quote on the front end and was informed that there would be follow up, but someone just showed up at the house without me knowing...which is great, but it would've been nice to know someone was coming beforehand. Also, I had to call a couple times to see when my work was to be performed and was informed that it was already scheduled, but I hadn't been made aware of that. I would consider these things minor to my overall experience. The positives FAR outweighed these 2 items. If I was grading a test, I'd give the overall experience a 99%. Outstanding.“

“Yellow Brick Road was terrific to work with. Their quotes were accurate, with no surprises, and very competitive with others we received. We hired YBR for 3 projects over the past two years: first to re-landscape our front yard, install new sod, and install a flagstone path between our newly planted shrubs. Second, they installed two paver brick patios in our back yard, connected by additional flagstone pathways and re-shaped our existing planted flower garden. This spring, we hired them for our third project, which was to replace our old asphalt driveway with a wider paver brick surface while also replacing our badly aged concrete front entry walk with the same paver brick. We love the quality of their work and have had neighbors as well as passersby compliment how nice our yard now looks. They develop good design drawings, consult with you on modifications and are open to feedback. Overall, YBR is a firm who understands design and construction as well as horticulture/plantings. “Very happy with Lone Oak. This is my third summer in my house. They installed the system here so I continued with them. They show up on time. When something has needed to be fixed, they've done it reasonably priced. Especially true when the entire back of the system was destroyed by the company who installed my fence.

Edit: Now my 9th summer. Lone Oak has still been great. Turn-on/blow-out prices have increased but still well worth it.

When the city did backflow inspections, I had zero issues. My system had been installed properly and I didn't have to do anything.

This spring, my front zone didn't work when they came to turn on the system. They were back today. I came home to huge holes in my front yard. The roots of the maple tree in the boulevard had pinched off the lines. They bypassed the problem.

As they were finishing, I was shocked that I could barely tell they had been here. (First two photos were the huge holes. Last one was right after they left.)

Bob and the guys at Lone Oak seem to have installed a quality system. And when issues have arisen, not their fault, they have resolved them for me for reasonable prices.“

Mick came and assessed my situation (56x22x3 foot retaining wall), came up with a plan and informed me of ways I could save money on the project (usually folks are trying to upsell instead of save their clients money!). When they came to do the project, they were very professional, nice guys. They did a great job and cleaned up at the end of every day. They even swept the street out in front. They cared for my property and at the end, the leveled my lawn (which had been damaged by their equipment) and seeded it and laid hay down. The grass was back in a few weeks! The even seeded my neighbors lawn below their side of my retaining wall (where there was only dirt before) and mulched below the other neighbors (where there has been mulch before).
