A former Green Beret, Paramedic with the Miami Dade fire department, commercial pilot flight instructor, seeking a place to heal...and I found it here in the Keweenaw community... the staff at our community hospital, now called Aspirus went thru many changes but was that place that I always found community. A hand offered every time a crisis overwhelmed me, they saved me whether it was physical illness, emotional trauma, a family members trauma, they were always present...I think that, for the most part says it all.. Thanks Aspirus, for helping me crowd 80 years...I could not have lived without you ?“
