“I have taken two tours at Elmwood Cemetery, an Arboretum tour and an historical tour. Both tours were very well narrated and informative. While the Arboretum tour showcased the variety of trees, while enjoying a walk in the beautiful grounds of a park-like environment, the Historical tour explored in depth, themes of local history, architecture and notable burials. Amy, the Director of Historic Foundation, is the curator behind both tours and has done an amazing job offering these kinds of events to our communities.“

“My husband died unexpectedly February 2024, Butler funeral home was there for me in my time of need when I wasn't in my right frame of mind and didn't know what to do because I never had to bury a loved one before so I was lost and confused but they were so very understanding so loving and caring and they help me lay my husband to rest. The following year my daughter tragically passed away March 2025 and I almost lost my mind. I struggled to hold it together but they helped me get through it all they walked me through everything they were so caring they were loving and understanding and very respectful. They were always there when I felt like I wanted to fall they wouldn't let me. They help me lay two of my dear love ones to rest, my husband and then my daughter. As I still struggle to deal with the Lost of my family members they are still there reaching out to make sure that I'm okay and to see if I need anything. “Visited this cemetery at the Age of 12, 63 years young now. Interment highs and lows where the property owners completed no routine Maintenance. When monies are embezzled from escrow everyone suffers. Today noticed New Staff onboard…and a few renovations in progress!!! The women’s bathroom , Aretha Franklin and Rosa Parks Beautiful black & White Pictures in the Lobby. Asphalt paving has began on Roads that clearly needed Big Gretchen telling the Cemetery to Fix the Damn Roads. Customer Care exceptional…Rudy Jerry renders heartfelt service. Never has Woodlawn Service Organized a Community Butterfly ? Release for Family and Friens to Attend in Memory of their L♥️VED One’s..Sam Cooke Sang ? it Best….Its been a Long Time coming But I know Change Gone Come!!! Looking forward to the restoration of a once Pristine emetery tha at 12 years old made me think ? it was A Golf ⛳️ Course as the Grass and Grounds were Lush, green and Beautiful.
