“Had a problem with my new lenses.
My scrip came from GR Opt. The Mgr. Jen decided to remake lenses at no cost to me. To be certain on the accuracy of the script I got a new eye exam at RX. Turns out my eyes changed since my GR Opt. Exam.
Mgr Jen still covered my lenses at no cost to me. I was so relieved and grateful.
Also , I will be getting my eye exams at RX from now on. The Doctor gave me the most comprehensive eye exam I’ve ever had. Very thorough, not rushed and explained everything very clearly.
Cost with no insurance was $99/$149. My charge was $99,
GR Opt. $240.
Also, the Opticians Jennifer and Kristin worked together as a team to help me understand the process to get me fitted properly.

“Dr. Henry is an excellent physician and I have received great care from this practice for 20 years. However a recent incident caused me to leave. I've had a series of strokes that left me with vision and other physical problems, and Dr. Henry was keep track of my vision problems. Because of the results of the strokes I am very slow in performing the usual tasks like washing, food prep, and other stuff. And I am extremely tired, falling asleep frequently.Because of all this stuff I was late for an appointment with Dr. Henry. I was told I was a "no-show," because I was 15 minutes late, and would be charged a fee for this.I was not a "no-show." I was late.So I decided that I need to find another Opthalmologist for this appointment and I cancelled my appointment.I am sorry to have left because Dr. Henry is a good and caring physician.“

“Couldn't get an appointment in Kalamazoo to have my cataracts removed, they were scheduling four months out. A friend told me about Grand Rapids Opthalmology (GRO). I called them and got a consultation for the following day. Dr Muallem was very professional and suggested the Light Adjustable Lenses, which corrects the near and far sightedness. He said that there was a 99.7% success rate. I had the surgery a couple of weeks later, five days apart. Three weeks later I returned to see Dr Flikkema for the adjustments, a week apart. Finally the sealing took place and now I have 20/20 vision and no glasses needed. I found out later that only the large cities have this procedure. I couldn't be more pleased. Only downside was the 50 miles one way (9 times) trips to GRO. All in all definitely worth it.“
