“As a Chinese-American bride, it was important for me to have an Asian HMU artist who understood how to work with my skin and hair. Kong was the perfect HMU artist, going above and beyond. She truly listened to what I wanted, while still providing her professional expertise (which is what I needed as someone who is indecisive and inexperienced). By the end of my trial, I knew I had picked the right person and felt complete confidence in her work. On my wedding day, I looked and felt both beautiful and myself. And my bridal party looked just as good.

However, beyond just doing a great job on our hair and makeup, what I appreciated most is the energy that Kong brought. She is hilarious, honest and fun. She took the time to connect with me and I felt not only trust in her as a HMU artist, but as a person.

In my opinion, wedding planning can be stressful and overwhelming, so surrounding yourself with good, supportive people throughout the process / on the day of can really make a difference. I'm so grateful I got to have Kong on my team.“

Lisa was incredible, she was a delight to be around, and had suggestions on products as well as helping create a plan to achieve my dream hair. She color corrected the mess I came in with, without making a single negative remark about it, and brought me back to feeling confident about my hair. Because of course, it now looks AMAZING. “I've seen Kari twice now, and had i planned better, i could (and would have) made sure to schedule her for my wedding styling + makeup. My hair has been damaged since 2017 and she's brought it to life over the last two visits (6+ months apart). She was able to take my inspo (ai generated at first, then pinterest second time) in mind as well as explaining what would work and wouldn't with my texture, length and goals. I left the salon looking like Kate Middleton and seriously felt like i was on top of the world. I did not take any pictures, but please believe me i looked FIRE. Also, she gave me recommendations for makeup products since i was going to do my own makeup for my wedding, and every rec hit SO GOOD. If Kari ever leaves this practice, i may consider moving to follow her because she's transformed me into the best version of myself.“
