“Karen did a great job grooming my dog “Mango.” Mango (Yorkiepoo) does not like to sit still when grooming, and I took him to others places and they were unable to groom him, but Karen was able to and did an excellent job.“

“If I could give more stars, I absolutely would! I called around 6:10 PM, knowing they closed at 7, and asked if they could possibly squeeze my cat in for a nail trim and ear cleaning. They kindly said yes, and when I arrived, they took him in right away and had everything done within 10 minutes.

What really stood out to me was how gentle and patient they were with him. As a cat mom, I know how sensitive and shy cats can be, especially in unfamiliar environments. Usually, grooming appointments are very stressful for him, but this experience was completely different.

I could hear how softly and calmly she handled him, and afterward I was honestly amazed. Instead of being shaken up and hiding, he actually seemed more relaxed, confident, and brave. Seeing him content afterward meant so much to me.

“We tried boarding our highly anxious cat for the first time while abroad so someone could give her the anti-anxiety pills every morning.

While our baby had a complete meltdown and became highly aggressive as soon as we left, the staff did everything they could to calm her and make her more comfortable. We were given updates on her status everyday and, at some points, were in even closer/more constant contact as we were concerned. At no point did they give up trying and when I came in early to pick her up, I could see just how much they cared for her and at no point did anyone blame her, they were so sympathetic to her anxiety kept reassuring me that she was not aggressive, she was just distressed, which is the exact mentality you would want from the people taking care of you pet for a weekend.

To the owners and staff, I just want to truly thank you all so much for the way you handled the situation and how you took such great care of our cat where many places would have given up with the behavior she was exhibiting.

“Great experience with District Dogs. They were fast, convenient, and took excellent care of our dog while we were in town and couldn’t bring him certain places with us. “I cannot express enough how much I recommend Frolick!!! I initially was just going to the open gym in the evenings to practice agility and basic commands with my Bernedoodle , where I had met initially Kevin and Kim (the owners). Kevin is SUCH a wealth of knowledge about dogs and had given me initial tips to build on what my girl already knew, but the more we talked, I knew the day board and train would be the best option. IN COMES JUSTIN!! He has the Kevin touch as well. Everything looks effortless. He also was beyond patient with me ( I think I was harder to train than my dog tbh, but you’ll have to ask him). Now, I swear my girl loves Justin more than me (they really should love their trainers that much!), she loves “going to school” (which is what we call Frolick)- to the point she starts Panting when we get close by on Duke street.
The perfect mix of corrections and positive reinforcement, training the things I needed the most and was having the hardest time being consistent with (place, heel, recalls) and dealing with reactivity! GOD SENDS. If I have a question or concern,I don’t feel dumb asking or coming to Frolick to ask or practice. EVERYONE has noticed how much more relaxed both my pup and myself are now- that’s confidence from Justin. Frolick is truly a family and I wish I would have found them even sooner. I will be eternally grateful!!“

“Today we took our dog Luna to the veterinarian, Dr. Logan Murray, and we had such a great experience. My husband and I live in Georgetown, and we had trouble finding a good vet for a long time — but we finally found DuPont Veterinary Clinic, and they were amazing.

Dr. Logan Murray is a genuinely kind and caring person. He treated Luna so gently and patiently, and Luna was very well-behaved thanks to how comfortable he made her feel. The examination was very thorough, and while discussing which vaccines Luna needed, he was extremely honest. If something wasn’t necessary for her, he said so and never tried to push extra services or take our money. That level of honesty really means a lot to us.

The assistants working there were also amazing — very professional, attentive, and kind. The clinic was spotless and very clean. This was our first time visiting, and we’re pretty sure this will be our regular vet from now on. Even the treats they gave Luna were great!

“I took my 12 month Yorkie to Dr. D for her first visit. Before I went. I read the reviews and some of them were horrible. I went in with an open mind and boy I’m glad I did. “I called ahead of time to let them know my dog was wobbling back and forth. I was so scared as she never had anything like this happen to her. This was at four in the afternoon. They were quick and kind caring for my fur baby and me since I was a bit emotional from worrying. I am thankful for their swift care for her. She's home with us resting and the doctor asked us to come back first thing in the morning for some more fluids. And finally to receive the results of her bloodwork.“
