“Waited about an hour, which I expected since it’s a walk-in salon—no issue there.

The problem is their sign-in system. It’s just a handwritten sheet on a clipboard stuffed with old pages. I signed in on the top sheet when I got there, but somehow my name got lost, and I ended up watching people who came in after me get called first. I said something to the host, and she fixed it and got me in next, which I appreciated—but it definitely shouldn’t happen.

A couple things to know before you go:

-They don’t offer trims at this location
-You have to agree to take a photo after your service “for their records” (you can keep your face out of it)

The staff were nice and worked pretty fast, and I liked my hair overall. My only issue is my ends didn’t look the best since I couldn’t get a trim.

“I always have a good experience here. I typically get braids or twists with added hair and I really appreciate that they are full service. I have a lot of hair and I know that when I come here my hair will be washed and detangled properly and with care. Other places either do not include that in the price or don’t wash, detangle and blow dry properly. Prices are reasonable and quality of service is great especially if you have natural hair.“

“This is great salon. I came because my mom regularly has Berry do her updo braids style. But that’s not all Berry can do! I went in to get my hair dyed to cover my gray. Berry noticed that it had been a long time since my last trim and did a great cut to get rid of my split ends. The shampoo was lovely. And since I only went in for the dye, I was prepared to leave and do a wash n go at home. But Berry did a beautiful silk press for me. I received so many compliments on the style / curls. I’ll definitely go back! And my mom has her appointment next week!“

“I've been getting my hair cut here for the last several years since moving to the area. The women who work here are fantastic, especially Mesu, the owner. I like it because it's nice and clean without being so fancy that the money is going to the branding rather than the quality of service. I also like that they will give folks a cut for free if they are unemployed but trying to get a job. That's the kind of local, community-based company I like to support. And maybe my husband looked a little scruffy when he went the first time, but they asked him if that was why he was coming in because he's trying to find a job and mentioned they offer that service, and I thought that was very gracious because then people don't feel uncomfortable having to ask for charity. Also, their coffee is amazing.“
