Benfield charged me 700$ to not fix the problem. I was recommended this vet and he not only showed me how to give her the medicine (benfield left that out) but she was feeling better within days for much less of the cost. Problem fixed within minutes“

6215 Baltimore Ave, Riverdale Park“I cannot find the right words to express what this clinic means to me and my beloved pets. If you have a moment, I’d like to share my story:
In July 2025, my 6-year-old cat, Joey, was rushed to emergency due to a urinary blockage. After a week of uncertainty and a recurring blockage, I found the team at Lynn Clinic. From the start, they truly understood my situation and the deep anxiety I felt for my baby. They did everything humanly possible for him, and I truly felt we were in the best hands. The doctors and assistants don't just treat patients; they stand by you and share in your pain. Sadly, my furry baby passed away on August 28, 2025.
Recently, our family welcomed a beautiful Shih Tzu puppy named Manchas. Without a second thought, I brought him here. I know this is a team of professionals who lead with humanity and a genuine love for animals. Believe me, you won’t want to take your pets anywhere else.“

12100 Nebel St, Rockville“Started taking our dog when I moved to the area 3 years ago and never had a bad experience: administrative staff was always courteous, space was always clean, medical staff was always knowledgeable. But nothing surpassed my expectations more then when the time came to help Rooney cross the Rainbow Bridge:
1) leaniancy in scheduling procedure - they allowed me to wait for the kids to come home from school
2) a comfortable private room to say goodbye - it wasn't just any available exam room, I sat on a couch and snuggled with him as we said our goodbyes
3) gentle explanations of his condition and options - when the doctor I spoke with in the morning wouldn't be available later in the day, she informed me of who would be assisting us and when it came time the new doctor was informed of our circumstances and kindly explained what would happen
They also provided the keepsake in my picture which is more than I have ever gotten from other providers with past pets. Not only that, but once I got the call saying the paw print was ready, I was allowed to come whenever I was ready to accept it so they kindly held onto it for a few weeks for me.
Thank you Nebel Street Animal Hospital your kindness was a gift.“

4567 Rhode Island Ave, North Brentwood“I moved to Hyattsville Animal Hospital when my previous vet (of 15 years) just went downhill and a lot of trust was lost. My pet sitter highly recommended Dr. K so I made an appointment and never looked back. This is a terrific hospital from the front office and back office staff to the care. Dr. K is wonderful with all my littles (2 of my own) - I started fostering a little one and she goes there now, too. Their costs are the best in the area hands down. The facility is not flashy but it's nice and it's the care that matters and parking is not an issue ever. As long as they are there - all my littles will be their patients.“

15543 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville“I've had many pets and been to many veterinary practices, but I have never found one as good as the Animal Medical Center of Burtonsville. The front desk is delightful, compassionate and extremely competent. Dr. Robbins is an absolute star. She always returns calls, even if it is after hours. She is knowledgeable and empathetic. If you are looking for a vet. You need to go to this practice. I can't recommend them highly enough.“

7440 Annapolis Rd, Hyattsville“Aside from some punctuality issues due to the snow, their rates are very competitive and the bedside manner of care seems to be genuine and professional. My dog needed 2 incisors removed from what I thought was only 1. Someone needs to recommend volunteers here because they are short staffed. Anyway so far so good when it comes to the service my dog received. Recommended. I’ll be back and hopefully they can continue doing good work on my beloved pet.“

And they greeted the new cat (a Siberian) enthusiastically, and on his fourth visit called out his name when we entered for a checkup. The assistants and the receptionists are also very welcoming. Yes, with a Jaguar parking can be difficult but the advantages of having caring vets and staff makes up for it.“

The doctor is excellent—he explained Coffee’s sarcoma and every step of the procedure in clear, reassuring terms, so I knew my pup was in skilled hands. The entire staff is calm, kind, and supportive, which made a stressful situation much easier. Coffee had a minimally invasive surgery and recovered very quickly with great follow-up. You can tell they truly care. I highly recommend this clinic!“

2112 18th St NW #1, Washington“Five stars, without hesitation.
Adams Morgan Animal Hospital was Bruno’s (Boston Terrier, currently 10 years old) very first vet as a puppy, and looking back, it is clear how much that early experience mattered. We now live in California and every vet tech we see consistently comments on how calm, easygoing, and cooperative Bruno is during visits.
I genuinely believe that temperament was shaped by the positive, caring environment he experienced at Adams Morgan Animal Hospital early on.
When we lived in Washington, DC, we would walk past Adams Morgan Animal Hospital regularly, and Bruno would happily pull toward the front door as if he was excited to go inside.
If you are looking for a vet who creates a truly positive experience for animals, especially dogs, I cannot recommend Adams Morgan Animal Hospital highly enough.“

Shout out to Frances at the front desk - you go above and beyond!“

4105 Brandywine St NW, Washington“I started taking my large, anxious, dog-reactive dog to Friendship a year and a half ago and have been very pleased with the care I have received, in particular from Dr. Goldberg and her team. The veterinary staff is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my dog and her wellbeing. We are in every couple of months for my pup and her various issues (GI, allergies, mast cell tumors, and more) and I always appreciate their attention to detail. They have a form that I fill out before the appointment to give some background on the issue my dog is experiencing, and their staff is always very prompt and thorough when helping with administrative requests (ex. Medical records, pharmacy needs, etc). When I send emails, they are responded to promptly and my concerns are always addressed quickly.
They work remarkably well with my dog-reactive pup - I have never been made to feel bad or uncomfortable because of my dog’s reactivity, and they do their best to accommodate us whenever possible. I am typically offered the option to wait in the exam room until I pay so my pup doesn’t need to be around the other dogs in the waiting room, but I rarely need to take them up on that offer. Since they opened their second location, the waiting room is typically relatively calm and I have enough space to keep my reactive dog at a comfortable distance from other dogs.
They have a small parking garage under the building with a few spots, but if you drive a very large vehicle, be prepared for a tight squeeze. Sometimes all the spots in their garage are full and I have to street park, but I never have trouble finding a spot within one or two blocks of the office. I just build in enough time to park and walk to the office before my appointment now.
As far as cost, this is definitely the most expensive vet I have been to, but it is my first vet in DC proper, so I don’t find that surprising. I find the costs reasonable enough considering the location and the amount/quality of care and resources available to you here. I never have to wait long for an appointment. They have the capability to handle pretty much any health issue my dog could have in-house - they have specialists on staff.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Friendship! Thank you to Dr. Goldberg and her team for all the care and support they have provided me and Rosa - we appreciate you immensely!“

“Dr. Marguiles is the best. We recently had to say goodbye to my dog. She responded to all my questions in a compassionate manner. I have also seen Dr. Cannon and he is excellent too. The office staff are also caring and professional.“
