Family owned business that really cares about their clients. During the extreme cold weather and ice/snow storm on the Eastern shore of MD late January into February 2026, caused the drain pipe from the unit in our attic that routes outside to freeze causing our furnace to stop working. We noticed the drop in temperature while monitoring the thermostat APP while we were in Florida visiting family on a Saturday afternoon. We called Hometown and left a message, and also sent an email explaining the problem and told them we were in Florida with no way to check on the problem. The owner called us back within an hour and we arranged access to our home. He went out and identified the issue and was able to temporarily get the heat working again by turning it on emergency heat. Two days later he sent his service technicians back to the house and they carefully removed the frozen pipe, rerouted a new insulated pipe, and turned the emergency heat off. Can’t thank them enough as they had numerous service calls due to the unusually cold weather lasting two plus weeks, yet they took the time to assist us quickly averting a catastrophic disaster while we were out of town. Exceptional quality service!

Eric Canales inspected the damage to my roof and gave me an estimate. He also supplied and attached a large exterior tarp on the roof for temporary protection and a large plastic one in the interior where the leak had done considerable damage. Although he ultimately did not do the work on the roof because his estimate at the time was higher than I could afford, I was very satisfied with his efficiency and professionalism in this limited service.

Ray’s painted the entire interior of our home and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The painters were professional, friendly, and most importantly, trustworthy; they treated our belongings with care and did a great job cleaning up—no cleaning their rollers and brushes at my house—they did that at the shop. They also prepped each room thoroughly, and found cracks and nail pops we didn’t even notice. The finished ceilings and walls are flawless, and beautiful. The owner, Missy, works with Mary, a professional color consultant at Benjamin Moore to help homeowners pick the best colors for each room, and the results are outstanding! We hired Brent Paquin Design Build in the Spring of 2017 to build a house for us on a lot we’d purchased in St. Michaels, MD. Brent met with us right away and quickly--and masterfully--adjusted one of his existing designs incorporating exactly what we requested. By December of the following year, we were excited to have our beautiful waterfront home ready for occupancy. He and his team were extremely professional and working with them was great. Every single one of Brent's team members from our foreman (Cliff Dauer) to everyone in the front office to all of Brent's subcontractors were highly skilled and hard-working. Their level of customer service was top-notch. The craftsmanship and quality of the build shows in every corner of the house, and we regularly receive great compliments from visitors. Ultimately, the entire process of working with Brent and his team was seamless and without a single hiccup. Our home is absolutely gorgeous and is exactly what we had wanted.
Don McNicholas of Aquadon Pond Services, who enlarged and enhanced the pond in my back garden, along with its waterfall and filters, in late March 2008, has provided ongoing pond maintenance and upgrades, as well as other landscape-beautification services.The pond-supply company that had recommended Don and his small crew assured me that, although Aquadon would probably not reply to any calls in the extremely busy spring season, Don’s excellent work would be worth the wait. When I called Don in the summer, he answered the phone, discussed options for my pond, and -- as planned – initiated the job. The work went smoothly, within budget and on schedule, and Don and crew showed exemplary dedication and enthusiasm for their work, and even went the extra mile.As the owner of a small, agile company, Don of Aquadon provides the consummate personal touch in tailoring his work to meet customer needs. He manages to save the customer money by doing what larger companies assign to a large crew with expensive machinery. Whenever I had a question or difficulty, Don resolved the issue quickly. For the past 14 years, he has ensured that my pond is clean with healthy fish and plants.
