“Our family of four made an appointment with Jess today and we absolutely love our hair cuts! She was very thoughtful and skilled in the styles she cut for us, and the products used smelled amazing. The salon was very airy and inviting, and we loved the products and local goods that were sold and advertised there. Also, the bean rush cafe, which is located next door, was a very delicious cherry on top to finish off experience.
We definitely recommend this location, and can see why so many others rave about it. We look forward to coming back in the future :)“

I usually see Nicole (who is amazing!) for a cut and style, but I’ve also been to several of the other stylists, and the quality is always consistently excellent. The salon itself feels like a little oasis in Annapolis—welcoming, calming, and relaxing the moment you step inside.

I especially recommend Studio Thirty-Six to LGBTQ+ clients. These days it can feel intimidating to try new places, especially for something as personal as your hair. She is very kind and really took the time to make sure I was happy with everything. I also got a root color to cover my greys and an all over gloss and I love the color. I wanted close to my natural color and she nailed it. She also recommended the L’Oréal Professional Metal Detox shampoo which I purchased from the salon since I was experiencing dry ends and tangles no matter what I did. I’m happy I listened to her recommendation because my hair has never felt so soft and shiny. The photo I attached is with no flash in natural light after I washed and dried my hair myself 2 days after I got it done. to see if I could get my hair done on my day off and what timeframe I was looking for. I informed her I had already purchased my hair, as I have a sensitive scalp. I provided pictures of what I was looking for and informed her that I have fine hair and am tenderheaded on top of my head. let me just say blessed hands know how to comb that hair. I was literally in there at times, going to sleep. My hair is not tight. It does not itch. She even told me how to take care of it, and I know for a fact, I will be back. The place itself was clean, spacious and relaxing.

Unless it is your thing, there is no need to be in a sweat shop sitting on top of other people getting your hair done, not to mention the noise, inconsistent braiding size, and inconsistent pricing. I highly recommend her.“
