“I had no idea this place was here, I guess because it's upstairs but I'm glad I found it when my normal nail place wasn't able to get me in. The place is a gorgeous design and clean and my nails turned out great! She took special care of them I noticed more than my regular place where sometime my skin feels filed so I think I've found my new spot.“

Although it hasn't been ideal with the hairstylists that I've had leaving after getting used to them, they never seem to leave because they are unhappy just because they are moving or advancing careers. Always friendly, always clean, relaxing atmosphere. They've never tried to upsell me but are eager to offer me services when I inquire. “Posted this on yelp, so I had to make sure I posted here as well:This woman is absolutely amazing! I wish I came here first when I got my hair braided a few weeks prior.I ended up bringing my daughter here about a month ago and it was the best decision I could've made for her. She was ready for my daughter right on the dot for her appointment time and she went straight to prepping.Not only is Aminata sweet, respectful, gentle, professional, and quite fast I might add, but she makes you feel right at home as well. I couldn't have asked for a better stylist!When it came to picking out the colour for the braiding hair, I actually always go with either a #1B or #2 for my daughter, but as the professional Aminata is, she chose a #4 instead, which turned out to be a perfect match. I had no idea! It didn't stop there though. She not only asked for my opinion; she also made sure my daughter was comfortable with the choice as well. I've never seen a stylist ask an 11 year old for a second opinion. Aminata made my daughter feel significant and gave her confidence since she was the one sitting in Aminata's chair. That's EXTREMELY important to me, because my husband and I are raising our kids to know that they matter and they have a voice. We teach our children to speak up and she gave that opportunity to my daughter without me even saying one word about it.Although she's closed today (which made me remember to write a review in the first place), I plan to call tomorrow to book another appointment for my other daughter. I really hope she does locks because my husband wants to start going to her along with my son after hearing about my daughter's experience.This has nothing to do with her as a professional, but I have to speak about her character. We had a long conversation about countless topics. Within those conversations, I've concluded that Aminata has a heart of gold! She's sweet, understanding, patient, aspiring and inspiring, and has the best intentions for our children and humanity as a whole. She spoke with a passion you can't fake.In a world often characterized by its fast-paced nature and the pursuit of personal success, encountering someone with a heart of gold is like finding a rare gem amidst the hustle and bustle. I had the privilege of getting to know Aminata whose genuine kindness and unwavering compassion left an indelible mark on me.From the very first interaction, it became evident that this person's heart was a reservoir of goodness. I left to get food and when I came back, Aminata was speaking on the phone with someone. The conversation I overheard made me realize that she understands the power of compassion. “First time trying this salon as a recommendation from a close friend, Paige was extremely welcoming, funny, and when I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she nailed it! You can tell the girls at the salon are all good friends and it’s a very positive environment which is great when you’re going to be there for hours on end. Paige also stepped in and used her knowledge of hair/science to help save her coworker from the incessant verbal attacks of a nervous mom and de-escalate her from going full Karen before even seeing the results (whichhh, I’m pretty sure they loved anyways) overall- will be returning!
