Nick was great to work with from the sales perspective, and we felt the quote to fully install was pretty fair. Eric came out to take some measurements and see what all would need to happen for us to have a new unit. He patiently answered all our questions and was thorough in his work. Install day went very well, and we were extremely impressed with the efficiency and cleanliness of the crew. Eric led the team, and they removed our old fireplace and installed the new one in working order in 5 hours (and it was COLD outside). Our original fireplace was inadequately insulated, so they made sure to correct that in the new installation. We immediately feel a difference in the room now that insulation is what it should be. Eric and Ryland also spoke to our general contractor about proper facing materials and installation so our living room will look beautiful when finished. Ryland walked us through the remote use and also what to do for the initial “burn off” cycle of the unit. He warned us that there could be a lot of smoke and a very bad smell — he was right about the smell! Nothing a few open windows didn’t take care of though. We’ve been using our new unit for 6 weeks now, and we are so happy we chose a Mendota gas fireplace and Bay Stoves for our vendor. Highly recommend them!”
