“I couldn't find an email to send this information directly to the salon. First, everyone was nice, and it was a good experience. Second, my old hairstylist had moved out of the area, so I asked her what to ask her. She told me to put in writing (so there was no confusion) when I made my appointment that I've done partial highlights with hi-lift color, I have fine hair, and it lifts easily. It's between levels 8 and 9 in terms of my natural blonde. When I met the stylist, she said she had read what I wrote in my appointment request. I rarely get my hair done, so it wasn't until I thought I was getting the wash that I realized we had bleached my hair, instead of using high lift color and were then toning it. At the end, I couldn't quite express what looked wrong, but it was that the highlights were much more yellow (look like stereotypical bleaching) than I am used to, and the toner really contrasted with it, instead of the natural look of the high-lift color. It's okay, it will grow out and the toner will wash out, the stylist did offer to correct it but speaking with my old stylist she said there is not much I can do since it's now been bleached and the color striped. I do really think that if you're going to use bleach on someone's hair, you should tell them since it does cause more damage. Like "Hey I read your request and actually I don't agree with it, I'm using bleach instead." I've never used bleach on my hair the scent (of that or the toner) for the remainder of the day was kind of nauseating my scalp broke out in a rash, and my eyes are still swollen. The first picture was my hair, the ones after are with the bleach. I have naturally frizzy hair and it’s also really dried my hair out.“

“I had booked an appointment thru their ig page! It was so easy and quick! The location is right off of 355 in Bethesda in front of the AC hotel. It is also walking distance from the Bethesda metro stop. Brenda was so welcoming and helpful with this being my first time getting extensions with her. She asked what I wanted to do, I also asked her expert opinion and we did a wispy full cat eye which was so amazing! Brenda also had snacks and water in her suite and she made sure I was comfortable during my appointment. It was a great experience my lashes have lasted almost 2 weeks with some shedding but Brenda said it's normal! 10/10 would recommend. Brenda provided excellent customer service and fair prices. “I went to the original Hannah's on Norfolk Ave when I was a single 20-something and continue to stop in when back in Bethesda. We just dragged our nephew there this morning and the boy left looking amazing like in the movies soon... The strength/speciality of Hannah's has always been the same: consistency/depth of their professionals and the care they put into the work. You could/can drop in and whoever does your hair will do a good job. It's like Hannah has done the vetting for you and you don't have to hunt around Bethesda for a barber/stylist you can trust and hope to keep in touch... an example are some of the Hannah-alumni who setup their own shops in Bethesda - they are good but usually their shops don't have the depth so it is hit/miss on appointments or being available in a pinch.“
