“Jen cared for my 11 year old hound mutt Biscuit during my 4 day vacation. She sent photos and texts. It allowed me to know the big guy was happy. She’ll be the first person I call before my next vacation!“

“We had two sessions with Neil and he helped us so much with training our 5 month old puppy! After using most of the methods he taught us, we saw behavior change in just a few days. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend Zen Dog.“

“I can’t tell you how pleased I am about the change in my puppies behavior in 1 day. This morning I was not assaulted by a jumping 40lb puppy because I used Elaine’s technique.“

“When I moved to East Boston mid 2021 it has been a couple of years since my little guy had been to a structured daycare. By that point there had been a lot of changes in life, personal and work, on top of spending 24/7 by my side the past 2 years. When I mentioned this to a close friend he had nothing but amazing things to say about Harbor Hounds. The amazing difference he saw in his timid pup with her confidence was night and day. While my little dude is anything but timid, his anxiety (seperation and otherwise) was at an all time high.My dog has been at Harbor Hounds for 2 years now and cannot say enough great things. Sarah, Lindsey and the rest of the employees there are beyond kind and caring. No matter the day, every time I drop him off his tail is always wagging. They let Yuki be Yuki all while helping him improve and learn along the way. It's made a huge difference in both his and my life.“

“We just finished our 2 week stay and train for our 6 month old frenchie. We had Tracy for our trainer. Tracy was unbelievable. She was so knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and fun. When we picked up our Remi I could see how comfortable Remi was with Tracy. You can tell she really loves doing what she does. Remi is now following commands, attentive, playful yet calm and I actually took her for a walk once we got home, something we haven’t been able to do!! I’m so happy we went with this type of training! 10 out of 10!! Thank you!!“

“We used Paws About Town for a few years while we lived in Newton MA. Im a first responder, so i dont have a set weekly schedule. They were the only dog walkers we could find that were willing to work with our schedule. Our dog is a blind Puggle with a big personality. She absolutely loved every time she got to have her play dates with Jason. You can tell he truly loves what he does and cares about each dog. We even had them board her while we went on vacation a couple times. Honestly I'm not sure I would trust anybody more than Paws About Town with my dog.“

“I would hire Jeff again in a heartbeat. If your dog needs 1:1 training or training in a special environment, I can't recommend Good Dog Boston enough. Jeff is patient but enthusiastic, and you can tell he loves what he's doing. He comes to each training session with a goal, and then he gives homework based on how the session went. We had varied locations for our sessions in order to maximize effectiveness, and I know I wouldn't have been able to make so much progress so quickly without Jeff.“

“Our dog LOVES Go Play! We did puppy and basic obedience courses there and she goes weekly for daycare. When they open the door for her to come in our dog runs in and doesn’t look back! Go Play was also super helpful and supportive when we were going through behavioral issues with our dog. They’re so fantastic!“

“We have used K9 Academy New England for both of our dogs. Matt has worked with them at different stages individually and collectively. He always goes above and beyond to answer questions and he genuinely cares about his craft. I have recommended him to many people and the consensus is the same, HE IS THE BEST. These services are worth every penny, as our dogs are well behaved and we are informed and responsible dog owners, all due to Matt!“

“I found myself in a bad situation when my husband suddenly passed away. Our dogs were grieving, his dog was taking it particularly hard and already had anxiety issues but the team has been willing to work with them and figure out how to best manage his boys issues. I know we aren't the easiest case and it's so wonderful to find the help we need to get through this period.“

“Had a great experience with Salome and my 1 year old Anatolian Shepard mix. Ember is a very anxious and guarded dog and not very food motivated. Salome had some great insight on how to make her more comfortable as well as other great tips to help train a dog with her temperament. Although Ember is pretty timid, she loved Salome and we were able to make some great progress. Along with that, Salome herself was very professional and made the experience enjoyable all around. I will definitely be coming back and I would recommend her to anyone!“

“Gail is the best she does such a great job. I have been going to Gail for over 20 years and always have at least 3 dogs that I bring at on time. She is so accommodating. Gails staff is always so kind. I have no worries when they are in Gails hands.“

“There are no words to truly show how much Dogwood Cottage has meant to us and to our dog, Leo, since we started going in 2021. We had tried a different place before, which made Leo nervous around dogs and humans. When we went to Dogwood, Leo loved playing with the sweet group of dogs that come to daycare- he even has a few girlfriends there now! We love seeing the pictures/videos of him playing with his buddies on the Dogwood Cottage Instagram and seeing how happy he is every time he goes! The love, and attention, and patience that the staff shows Leo continues to be above and beyond— it has helped Leo come out of his shell with humans. I know that a large reason for this staff culture is due to the leadership of Dogwood’s manager, Carl James. Not only is Carl incredibly knowledgable about dogs and their behavior, but I have come to know Carl closely and feel that I can speak to his kindness, dedication, and selflessness. He deeply cares for the dogs that come to Dogwood as well as the satisfaction of their human owners. Carl is responsive, responsible, organized, thoughtful, and I will always completely trust Leo in him and his staff’s care. Carl consistently goes above and beyond. Any place that Carl is, is a place that is lucky to have him and a place that we trust 100%.“

“We have been working with Cara for basic training for our very playful, energetic and friendly 3 month old German Shorthaired Pointer. She has been amazing! Within one session with Cara, we found ourselves with a more manageable puppy. Our puppy also loves working with Cara. Cara really cares about what she does and it definitely shows! She arrives on time and knows exactly what to do. She’s also available to field any questions or troubleshoot any situations for 2 weeks after your session. We highly recommend her to anyone!“

“Boston Dog Butlers is my favorite groomer. The staff is very knowledgable and empathetic. Reagan does a great job with my nervous little dog. The shop is well stocked with high quality products. They also offer stand alone services like nail trim. Always a great experience.“

“Highly recommend. Have been sending our dog here regularly for daycare and occasional boarding during the past year. Our pup always comes back tired and happy. The facility is clean and there are cameras so you can see your dog 24/7. They also offer pickup/drop off service at a very reasonable rate.“

“My two dogs absolutely love it here. Everyone is super friendly and very nice when they come out to the car. Wish they would send pictures and updates of how the dogs doing during the day or week, we do get updates when they get boarded overnight which is good. Their training sessions that you can sign up and pay for are fanatics and worth it“

“Easy to find what I need.for my dog. She gets the regular large breed kibble from Purina, and the store stocks two sizes. I know where the bags are and what I want.I've tried ordering from Amazon for the convenient delivery, but my experience is that Amazon ships whatever they like. It's always been Purina, but some types that my dog is not used to and doesn't like.Petco is nearby, and I often stop on my way to or from the kennel in Watertown where she boards and gets daily playtime. Petco staff is great!“

“My little guy gets so excited as we get close to Elliot's House; he can never wait to start playing with all his pup friends (and make new ones). I've been trying to get him here at least once a week, but may bump it up to two now that the weather is getting colder and the days darker. When I pick him up he's usually really amped from all the playtime, but after dinner quickly settles and chills with my husband and I on the couch - a tall order, as he is firmly in his angsty teen puppy phase. Weird aside, but I recently reached out to customer service to see if they've been cleaning him or spraying him with something before I pick him up, because he usually comes home smelling surprisingly fresh - I was told that nope, it's just the clean environment! All in all, this place is a great spot for your pup to get their socialization in and wind-up-toy energy out. I love that they know my guy by name (even if he's one of, like, seven Cooper's who visits), and I adore how happy he is to walk through the door each visit. Nice local spot filled with people who really care about their furry clients.“

“I cannot recommend this place more. They have taken care of our two cats with such attention to detail and kindness, especially when one of them was very ill. He made a full recovery thanks to their support of his care.“
