8 Spring St, West Roxbury“I cannot recommend this funeral home highly enough. As a young person handling funeral arrangements alone for the first time, I had no idea where to begin. Lou and Rich who own and operate the funeral home were incredibly kind, compassionate, and patient throughout the entire process.
I had multiple phone calls with them, and they always took the time to answer my questions and walk me through every step. They never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed, and their guidance gave me a great deal of comfort during an extremely difficult time.
Their professionalism, empathy, and genuine care for the families they serve truly set them apart. I am deeply grateful for their support and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of funeral services.“

245 Main St, Waltham“Frank Joyce and his team at Joyce Funeral Home took tremendous care of my elderly mother in making and handling arrangements on my father's sudden passing - starting on the Sunday my father passed away, with Frank returning my call that very day. He met with my mother, myself, and another sibling for over 4 hours the next day to obtain the information needed and help my mother decide on her preferences. To be clear, not that much time was needed - but Frank listened attentively and caringly to our various stories and shared some of his own. From our meeting, Frank obtained enough information to put together a lovely draft obituary, which we then augmented. He patiently provided advice and guidance regarding the services to be held and the practicalities. Frank made everything easy - he provided a google drive link for us to upload photos, which his team turned into a video slideshow and digital banner for the wake, collage poster boards for the wake, pages in the guest book, etc. - however, he also offered to scan hard copy photos (even in frames) if that was all we had. They handled everything - even ordering the thank you notes - and it was all lovely - and were thoughtful of my mother's and the family wishes and added comforting touches (for example, arranging for the donation of particularly large flower displays post-service). When the date we selected for the funeral service conflicted with a mass that all (active) priests in the parish were required to attend, Frank reached out to a retired priest he knows to handle the service. I cannot say enough good things about Frank and Joyce Funeral Home.“

580 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge“Beautiful historic burial grounds, with lush gardens, winding walking paths and trails, various elevation and views of Boston. Facilities include a chapel and visitor center. Headstones date back hundreds of years with some notable figures.
Head up the tower for a view of the Boston and Cambridge skyline - about a 50ft climb up stairs.
Lovely afternoon adventure“

From ritual services to every logistical detail all was executed with precision and care. While this was handled last minute and done right, I suggest handling these matters before you need them.“

We used Eaton for the memorials of both our parents, and the arrangements were handled deftly and with elegance. Bob Timmerman organized everything so well that were able to focus on family and friends, which made for a more meaningful experience. We thank Bob and the staff at Eaton for their help when it was most acutely required.“
“My mom passed away suddenly last Sunday. We had just celebrated her 96th birthday, and hours later we were gathered around her hospital bed saying our goodbyes after she had a hard fall. I was in a daze, the hospital told us the funeral home would handle everything, so I searched on Google for one nearby. When I found Folsom, it said we could call 24 hours/day. It was midnight, I made the call, and Bob Folsom himself answered the phone. That is correct, no machine, no AI. He offered to meet with us at noon the next day. After a 2 hour meeting with him in Westwood where he presented us with several options and gave us a reasonable cost estimate. From there forward, he and his son Brian handled everything. I was hugely impressed, and grateful that he and Brian helped us navigate this difficult experience with grace and compassion. The personal touch of a family owned business is what made the difference. I highly recommend Folsom Funeral Services, they are thorough, efficient, honest, and compassionate.“
“My father, a Lutheran Minister, who worked with many local funeral homes, chose Folsoms for my mother's and his own. They couldn't have made it easier for my family and I. Everything was taken care of beautifully. Extra effort was made to complete some extra touches when we were late or forgetful. Bob and Brian were ever professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.“

He was very patient. Provided the best services asked at the cemetery and even placed a candle for me at my husband's grave when it was too difficult for me to get there. We greatly appreciate the service and the assistance provided. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Victoria“

They did a wonderful job; they were very sensitive to my feelings; they went out of their way to offer help beyond their immediate services; they were supportive at a mind numbing time. I recommend Gormley without hesitation.“

373 Main St #375, Watertown“I can't recommend Nardone funeral home enough. They handled my father's funeral in 2021, and my grandmothers funeral last week. Both of them went through lengthy hospital stays before they passed away. They did a beautiful job with both of them, which was very important to my mother and our family. My father couldn't have a traditional wake due to the pandemic, but Carmine and Christine made sure my mother and my uncle were able to say goodbye to him for a few hours. They were together for 51 years, and I appreciate that more than I can explain.“

He went above and beyond to assist our family during a sensitive time, and his dedication did not go unnoticed. I would absolutely recommend working with him—especially when compassion, discretion, and attention to detail matter most.“

51 Worthen Rd #2, Lexington“Everything about Douglass Funeral Home is top notch, from the location in Lexington very close to multiple churches and houses of worship, the facility itself with several well-appointed rooms, the arrangements made, the viewing hours arrangements, and procession to the cemetery.
The funeral home is just across the street from Saint Brigit's Church, and the staff at Douglass Funeral Home coordinated my mother's funeral with the staff at the church extraordinarily well. The staff members are professional, friendly, and helpful.
I highly recommend Douglass Funeral home for a classy, respectful, and traditional funeral in the Lexington area.“

this top notch and very professional funeral home. The Lawler family has been entrusted with so many of our deceased for generations, and we wouldn't have it any other way. They're attention to detail, kindness and empathy have ministered to our hearts on so many occasions. You can put your trust in the Lawlers to leave no stone unturned in order to give you and your family what you need during your difficult time. You and yours can take comfort in knowing that your loved one has been cared for with love and respect, and your family will be honored by having the Lawlers come alongside you.“

53 Beech St, Framingham“I would like to thank Brain, his wife and staff for the beautiful display they had for my sister Peggy Gavin on October 18, 2025. Brian was so easy to talk with when I was all over the place trying to figure things out to make sure her Celebration of Life would be exactly the way she had wanted it to be. He listened to everything we wanted to show who Peggy was. We dropped off personalized items and his wife displayed them all around the rooms so beautifully. We were all surprised & in awe with their special touches they displayed of Peggy. From the very beginning of pre-planning, the day his son picked her up at Nursing Home after her passing, then meeting with Brian again several times to make sure I was happy with everything to the actual day of the service, Brain was very professional & at the same time became a friend. The day was beautiful, so many stories shared, he kept us well hydrated with water, lots of tissues for tears and peppermint life savers when our mouths were dry from talking so much. The escort from the Framingham Police Dept. to St. Stephen's Cemetery was very much appreciated for those who did not know the way. We grew up in Framingham & our parents were laid to rest with Norton's Funeral Home. We started our pre-planning before Brian took over, the transition went very smooth & felt like Brian was there from the very beginning. Thank you again for making a very sad day such a tribute to my sister Peggy. It truly was a wonderful experience & I would highly recommend them when the time comes for your loved one to be laid to rest. Mary Anne McAlister (Gavin)“

36 Trapelo Rd, Belmont“My family has been with Sheila/Hickey funeral home for decades. She does a wonderful job. A very warm and caring person. When my mother died over 14 years ago, Sheila had merged with Brown and Sons by then. They all did an incredible job with everything. I still have the original deed to my grandfather's plot. Unfortunately, I do not have the deed to my stepfather's plot which started with my step-great grandfather. My stepbrother is his only living relative left, at least on his branch. However, until I became disabled, I went to their grave as well as my own family's grave which was not far from my grandfather's grave. The funeral home took care of all of them and we are very appreciative of their services. Thank you.“

1251 Washington St, West Newton“It seems such a strange thing to make sure to write a review the day after a funeral, but I didn't want to lose any details on just how compassionate and amazing our experience with Brezniak was when we laid my father to rest. Nathan and Elizabeth were over and beyond wonderful, kind, meticulous, and so compassionate during the worst of times for my family.
The main things that are important for others to know are that everything was explained, multiple times if necessary. Everything was documented and itemized. We felt no pressure for anything that wasn't needed but our wants were always placed at the forefront of the plan. We were treated so well and I wish I could do more than a review to show our thanks.
During the course of the service and transfer, the Brezniak team was handling details, directing mourners, providing water, seating, interacting with the cemetery, and entertaining my nephew. Again, I have only the highest praise for Nathan who ensured that my father would receive an honor guard and his full military honors, even though the funeral was the day after Memorial day.
Losing a loved one is the worst thing, but it could have been worse by millions if Brezniak had not been taking care of us.“

“Exceptional Service and Deep Comfort
The family and friends cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible staff at Henry J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home. During one of the most difficult times for the family, their exceptional warmth and thoughtfulness brought to them immense comfort.
They went above and beyond by proactively communicating and coordinating seamlessly with both the family and the friends in charge of the ceremony. Every single detail was handled with the utmost care, ensuring that the guests and family received incredibly attentive service throughout. Thanks to their dedication and professionalism, we were able to hold a beautiful, grand, and deeply honorable funeral for our loved one. They truly brought the family peace and comfort when they needed it most. Their services are highly recommend.“
