241 Maple St, Marlborough“I contacted Louis Monti & Sons for my father’s headstone at the recommendation of some of the members of our church. Lou III responded back to my emails immediately and was very responsive throughout the process to all my questions. There were some management changes at the cemetery my father was buried and Lou helped to navigate that with the new leadership and fulfill all of my family’s wishes. I will say that I obtained quotes from a number of different monument companies in the area and Lou’s quote was very competitive and there were no hidden surprises in the amount. Being the first time I ever purchased a headstone, you can imagine it comes with emotions and lots of questions. Lou and team didn’t apply any sales pressure and was very accommodating as we took our time did our research. I would highly recommend Louis Monti & Sons for your family’s needs.“

42 Congress St, Milford“My husband and I have only been in Milford for eight years, and we were unfamiliar with the funeral homes in the area. When my husband passed away in May, I had to scramble to find a place to handle the cremation. Buma-Sargeant Funeral Homes was mentioned by several friends and kept coming up in my research. I made the call, and it was definitely the right call.
Buma-Sargeant went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. My husband was what is called a direct cremation. There is no funeral, memorial or viewing. The interaction with the funeral home is limited. But that never stood in the way of them helping me through a difficult process. I spoke with Jim Burma twice, once before they came for my husband – explaining step by step what to expect when they came to pick my husband up. And again, when a few details needed clarification. He was kind and caring. He never once rushed me or made me feel less of a client because we chose direct cremation. His staff was equally compassionate and professional.
When I went to pick up my husband’s ashes, I got there far later than I was supposed to and they appeared to be closed. However, I encountered Jim’s mother who actually lives in the house. I don’t know for sure, but I believe she is retired from the business. That did not stop her from taking the time to bring me my husband’s ashes. She also took time out of her own day to talk with me. We shared some of our mutual experiences with the loss of a beloved spouse. She told me about the things that helped her cope. She went above and beyond simple courtesy to a place of genuine compassion.
As a retired pastor, I have been on “the other side” of the process when a family loses someone they love. I knew what to expect, but that doesn’t change the impact when it is your loved one. My experience, over the years, with funeral homes has generally been positive. But at Buma-Sargeant, being the people who take care of our loved ones on the last day of their life is not a job. It is a calling. And Buma-Sargeant embraces their calling with a grace and compassion that makes the process less devastating. I thank each person at Buma-Sargeant who took good care of me, my husband and my family. Calling them was one of the best decisions I have ever made.“

378 Lincoln St, Marlborough“A friend of ours passed away while on vacation in Japan. So a small group of us close friends worked together to put together the logistics on the U.S. side. We visited several funeral homes in the Hudson/Marlborough area, and when we huddled together to make a decision, it took us all of about five seconds to unanimously agree on Collins Funeral Home. Owner and funeral director Richard Collins was absolutely amazing. Not only did he take time out of Father's Day for his initial meeting with us, but his knowledge, thoroughness, transparency, and compassion totally won us over. He gave us his personal cell phone number, and addressed all the questions and issues that arose over phone, text, and email. He went way above and beyond the call of duty, including communicating with his funeral service counterparts in Japan (via Google Translate!), and waiting at Logan Airport for SIX HOURS to receive our friend's body. I absolutely love this man, and I told him so. I consider him a friend now, and I told my wife that if I should unfortunately pass away and Richard has not yet retired, I want her to bring me to him, I want Richard to take care of me. Do yourself a favor: take the time to meet with him and consider Collins Funeral Home, you can thank me later.“

He was very patient. Provided the best services asked at the cemetery and even placed a candle for me at my husband's grave when it was too difficult for me to get there. We greatly appreciate the service and the assistance provided. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Victoria“

“John Matarese and John Jr. have provided A++ service to the community for decades. Personally, they provided funeral services for both of my parents and a sibling. They never tried to upsell me anything. They were reliable, extremely easy to deal with and handled everything from soup to nuts in a very caring and professional manner. I honestly don't see how they could have made the process any more gentle and straightforward. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.“
“Thank you for making a difficult few days much easier. Your help and guidance was greatly appreciated.“

He made an overwhelming process feel organized, peaceful, and meaningful, always treating our loved one with dignity and our family with so much respect. His calm presence and attention to detail truly made a difference during such an emotional time.
We are deeply grateful for the beautiful service and for the support we received every step of the way. Thank you, Joe, for helping us honor our loved one so beautifully. We will never forget your kindness.“
“Cindy and staff were lovely at such a difficult time, they made you feel very at ease and your loved one mattered. We have been going to Bryant’s Funeral Home for many many years, and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you Cindy“

“I would like to thank Brain, his wife and staff for the beautiful display they had for my sister Peggy Gavin on October 18, 2025. Brian was so easy to talk with when I was all over the place trying to figure things out to make sure her Celebration of Life would be exactly the way she had wanted it to be. He listened to everything we wanted to show who Peggy was. We dropped off personalized items and his wife displayed them all around the rooms so beautifully. We were all surprised & in awe with their special touches they displayed of Peggy. From the very beginning of pre-planning, the day his son picked her up at Nursing Home after her passing, then meeting with Brian again several times to make sure I was happy with everything to the actual day of the service, Brain was very professional & at the same time became a friend. The day was beautiful, so many stories shared, he kept us well hydrated with water, lots of tissues for tears and peppermint life savers when our mouths were dry from talking so much. The escort from the Framingham Police Dept. to St. Stephen's Cemetery was very much appreciated for those who did not know the way. We grew up in Framingham & our parents were laid to rest with Norton's Funeral Home. We started our pre-planning before Brian took over, the transition went very smooth & felt like Brian was there from the very beginning. Thank you again for making a very sad day such a tribute to my sister Peggy. It truly was a wonderful experience & I would highly recommend them when the time comes for your loved one to be laid to rest. Mary Anne McAlister (Gavin)“
