Pet boarding/training near Stow

“I sent my 1 year old dog Frankie for a 3 week board and train and I still cannot believe how well it went. I had put so much time into puppy classes, training at home, and even a failed board and train and was not feeling like I was making any progress. Sending her to Tiffany and Kat was my last hail mary and I couldn't be happier. During the 3 weeks she was away, I received photos and/or videos every single day. Communication was phenomenal. I could tell Frankie wasn't just in a boot camp, she was making friends and having fun. Frankie's mind used to be in 100 places at once and in just 3 weeks she is a calm, confident dog. I have taken her in stores, on walks and runs on leash, and off leash trail walks. Her off leash recall with the e-collar has been phenomenal. When we see a dog on a trail, she lays down and stays calm until I can ask the owner if the dogs can meet. Once they do, Frankie comes right back to me when called. I am living out my dream of taking her everywhere with me, stress free. Even after picking her up, Tiff and Kat are still texting to check in and make sure everything is going well. I couldn't recommend K9 Kompanion enough. Tiff and Kat, thank you again so so much :)“

“Our cat was dying and because we missed the last appointment with our original vet, they would not see him. We contacted Ayer Animal Medical Center, got an appointment the next day. I was EXTREMELY pleased with the staff from the check in to the our leaving. The staff lets you grieve at our own pace. They explained the process to us. And then let us be with our cat. Our final time together with him was not rushed. They are extremely caring, and very helpful. Wonderful people!“

“The office was very communicative and helpful in setting up the appointment ans sharing the relevant information. (Pro tip: look out for an email from hubspot, they got caught in my junk folder at first). Daren is the best. Total dog guy, patient with the training, explained everything (twice if needed) and was willing to walk me through the whole process of installation and caring for the system. Definitely went above and beyond. I will recommend these folks anytime I can. Great job!“

“I needed to send my dog to daycare for just one day while I am traveling. This place was recommended by my mother’s friend. My dog is very nervous around new people, and I was nervous about leaving him with strangers. He did so well, and the staff was awesome. My dog had a great day, and when I went to pick him up in the afternoon, he was calm and hanging out with the other dogs. The staff member who checked me out was very attentive and knew all of the dogs by their barks. I will absolutely use this place again the next time I am passing through. As a bonus, the one day of daycare was about half the price I expected for that service.“

“Alison is an extremely knowledgeable trainer that helped us understand how our energy and actions were dictating our dog’s reactions and behavior. Walking around other dogs is no longer embarrassing and chaotic. The food she recommended we switch to has also helped all of our dogs tremendously. “Cannot say enough about Carrie and Paws Unleashed - we have a 2 year old pandemic puppy whose social anxiety made puppy day camp an impossibility, reached out to Carrie, who had an opening, and she enthusiastically offered to take our stage-five-clinger Berner on her daily hikes. To our utter amazement, she was able to not only get our pup on the car for the hike, but spend a lot of time after the trial run talking through some training advice, all of which was incredibly on-point. We learned more in 45 minutes with Carrie than we did in two years of dog training books and online courses. TL;DR - if you're looking for a magical dog walker/trainer who is reliable, thorough, knows what they're doing - Carrie is the one.“

“I visited this location for the first time last week, and was pleasantly surprised. There was NO animal or pet food odor at all, unlike many similar stores. It all seemed nice and clean. I was there for the fish section, and the tanks were pretty clean and fish looked healthy. Their live aquarium plant selection was rather small BUT they were almost all in good condition, which is rather rare for chain store plants. Their live Betta fish were all in clean water, and also looked healthy. You can tell a lot about a location by how their Bettas look. As an ex-parakeet parent, I also looked in on theirs, and they, too, looked perky and healthy. I will definitely go again in the future, as long as the standards are being kept up.“
