“I was with tandem vet for a little under 2 years when I got orders to move to hawaii. Well hawaii regulations are apparently very strict on the paperwork required to bring a pet (they need original rabies certificates signed in blue ink). Driving out of state after shipping my car I found this requirement. I called them and they worked with me and went out of their way to get the paperwork mailed overnight to me. Without this I would have had to postpone my flight or had my dog quarantined in hawaii on arival. I want to thank Carie and the rest of the team for their support.“

“I’ve been bringing my dogs to JP Animal Clinic for almost 3 years, and I’m only leaving because I’m moving away.

Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.

Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.

The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.

“This place has always made me and my pups feel welcomed and heard! When we lost one of our fur babies to a hit and run a year ago they were so helpful with everything! Dr. Dunn is amazing with my pups and always remembers them. They love him and are always excited to see him. It is a little expensive but my boys are given great care so they are worth it.“

“This is the best vet in the state of MA. I made sure to find fear-free certified vets, and that’s how I found Dr. Hummer. My dog (6 yo, spayed, mix, rescue) is terrified of going to the vet, and Dr. Hummer played with her and got to know her before he started his exam. You actually couldn’t tell that he was examining her because he was so gentle and loving towards my dog. This vet answers all my questions and is always a joy to see. My girl loves the vet now!!“
