Lou III responded back to my emails immediately and was very responsive throughout the process to all my questions. There were some management changes at the cemetery my father was buried and Lou helped to navigate that with the new leadership and fulfill all of my family’s wishes. I will say that I obtained quotes from a number of different monument companies in the area and Lou’s quote was very competitive and there were no hidden surprises in the amount. Being the first time I ever purchased a headstone, you can imagine it comes with emotions and lots of questions. “A friend of ours passed away while on vacation in Japan. So a small group of us close friends worked together to put together the logistics on the U.S. side. We visited several funeral homes in the Hudson/Marlborough area, and when we huddled together to make a decision, it took us all of about five seconds to unanimously agree on Collins Funeral Home. Owner and funeral director Richard Collins was absolutely amazing. Not only did he take time out of Father's Day for his initial meeting with us, but his knowledge, thoroughness, transparency, and compassion totally won us over. He went way above and beyond the call of duty, including communicating with his funeral service counterparts in Japan (via Google Translate!), and waiting at Logan Airport for SIX HOURS to receive our friend's body. I consider him a friend now, and I told my wife that if I should unfortunately pass away and Richard has not yet retired, I want her to bring me to him, I want Richard to take care of me. Brian was so easy to talk with when I was all over the place trying to figure things out to make sure her Celebration of Life would be exactly the way she had wanted it to be. We grew up in Framingham & our parents were laid to rest with Norton's Funeral Home. We started our pre-planning before Brian took over, the transition went very smooth & felt like Brian was there from the very beginning. They never tried to upsell me anything. They were reliable, extremely easy to deal with and handled everything from soup to nuts in a very caring and professional manner.
