364 Boylston St 4th Floor, Boston“The most holistic place I have ever done personal training. Health focused, scientifically minded, and performance and outcomes driven. Kaylee is an incredible trainer and physical therapist, and the rest of the staff at C3 shines as well. Chi, the owner of the gym brings together many years of personal and professional experience with high level athletic training, and imbues this knowledge into his team.“
“I've been training at the dojo for almost 4 years now and I couldn't have asked for a better place to train. From the first lesson, they made me feel at home and part of the family and I began to learn the way of Karate. The level of knowledge and dedication is something I have not seen at other dojos and I feel lucky to be a part of it. Whether it's online classes or in person, there is something for everyone at all skill levels and ages. Best place I've ever trained by far, and is well worth a visit.“

83 Pine St #5, Peabody“My son started his karate journey in 2021 to see if this was something he may be interested in for him and for us to see if it could help his self esteem, and to feel more confident. In the almost two years he has been there, he has shown such progress that I couldn’t imagine it would have happened without the teachers and community at the dojo! He challenged himself recently in a tournament they held and he really proved to himself, and to us that he is brave, resilient, courageous, and willing to tackle challenges even if they seem to others to be too much! So proud of all he has accomplished with the dojo community’s help and looking forward to see how much more he will grow.We had checked out a couple other places before landing at AKTC and please believe not all places are similar. Here, you can watch your child during each class. The teachers take a genuine interest in each child yet make sure they are progressing. They make sure that the time spent during each class is about furthering, perfecting and understanding each move while still keeping in mind the ages of the children and somehow managing to keep their focus, and structure yet not in an overbearing militant way. There are many karate places close to where we live but AKTC is worth the travel/traffic!“

618 Gallivan Blvd, Boston“First, I really wanted to thank Master Gomes and everyone who is a part of the dojang. My son is just SO HAPPY, more confident and his hands and feet are getting stronger. I have tears in my eyes writing this because of his tremors he has been teased and bullied and also when covid started he has been harassed for being Vietnamese. I am proud to be mixed as well as both my boys but understand sometimes we get treated differently. Last Friday when he broke the board he was ecstatic! And I wanted to truly thank you all for building his confidence.“

911 Main St, Woburn“I had been wanting to give BJJ a go for years, and I couldn’t be happier that I made the choice to join Fenix. Phenomenal coaches, and phenomenal teammates come together to make an awesome environment to train. If you’re on the fence about starting your training journey, just do it. Sign up for that trial class. Get hooked, and then we can have that “I should have started 10 years ago” conversation.“
10AM - 8PM
649 Lowell St Unit G, Peabody“I started here 4 months ago with zero knowledge of BJJ. Next month I will be competing in my first tournament. The instruction, support and postive influence here is incredible. My 6 year old son is also a student here and training has helped him incredibly with focus, disapline and overall helping him to mature and feel confident about standing up for himself around other pushy kids. I can not say enough about Fenix BJJ Danvers. OSS!!7 years in, still going. Still the same amazing training!!Been training here nearly 8 years now, and I received my brown belt. I've been teaching the Thursday nights, all levels, classes... this gym has become our second home and Coach Nassib our family....“
“This place is great! John is amazing! He Was very patient with my son. Very friendly and very professional. 5 Stars all the way.“
11AM - 9:30PM
26 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington“My previous academy had closed down due to the pandemic, and I spent over two years searching for another bjj academy to restart my training. I must have trained at at least a dozen schools before word of mouth led me to MassBJJ Arlington in December 2023. I live in West Roxbury and gladly make the journey to Arlington every week, not just for the high caliber of instruction, but for the training partners who are welcoming, respectful, and (most importantly) highly skilled. Added bonus: weight training and cardio equipment.“
“Cervizzi’s Martial Arts in Lynnfield is Amazing. They teach more than just self-defense techniques and many of the benefits extend beyond karate.Students learn discipline, self-respect, self-control and confidence. These are benefits from instruction, effort in a structured environment. Post-covid-> the dojo enhanced their teaching offerings to include online learning as well as thoughtful in-person classes (limiting class size, taking temperatures, wearing masks, and cleaning between each class). Cervizzi’s Martial Arts in Lynnfield has been the one consistent activity during Covid and it is a testament to the dedication of the instructors and staff. Our daughter has been going for 4+ years. We saw how much she was growing that our son joined for the past 3+ years, and to make it a family bond, I joined 2 years ago. I have witnessed each of our growth. One annual tournament really stuck out to me. Our daughter entered a competition for weapons, forms, and sparring. Before the forms event, she had to speak in front of the judges (and about 75+ spectators). I felt nervous for her but the crowd didn’t impede her one bit. She remain focused and executed her form flawlessly. I share this specific moment because it is another benefit beyond classes: the ability to practice, practice, practice, execute and compete. We highly recommend Cervizzi’s Martial Arts Academy!“

“My kids love it here! They have learned so much in just a year (less for my younger child who started at age 3). The instructors are so patient and kind. My kids have made some great friends here as well. Lastly, the after school program has been amazing and my school-aged child loves it!“
10AM - 9PM
260 Market St, Lynnfield“My child started with Master O 5 years ago at another location. Sensei Herman treats his students with firmness, fairness, dignity and compassion. He has mentored my kid through difficult teen years. Other kids would be fortunate to have time at this dojo.“
“Lemme tell ya the best class ever! I went for the first time to punch out about a month ago and I go every Monday & Wednesday. The energy of the staff and sensei are so supportative but you walk out dripping sweat. I was always so nervous to do a class but I felt comfortable right away, I joined Sensei's karate class as well. The class works for every one! sensei makes it easy for you to adjust to harder or easier workouts based on your ability. I'm so happy I found this class I live all the way in Medford and it's totally worth the commute I recommend this work out studio for anyone and everyone, you belong here :)“
“I had a great time stopping by NESF Boston for some ju jitsu training this week. Really looking forward to digging deeper into this sport.Dave and Jake know their stuff and provide solid instruction, building up from fundamentals into complex chains of moves. On top of that, the community at NESF is super welcoming, safe, and full of people who enjoy helping each other level up their skills.“

408 Highland Ave, Somerville“This is a fantastic place, and a wonderful community, both for kids and adults. The instructors are excellent teachers, but what I love most is their commitment to each student. For adults, they meet you where you are in terms of fitness and knowledge, from absolute beginners to students who been practicing for years, and they then figure out how you can improve from there. For the kids, I have never seen a team of instructors invest such attention and care to every child in every class and then achieve success through positive encouragement. I've been a student myself for over ten years, as has my child, and I'm still learning and growing. Can't recommend highly enough!“

17 Campbell St, Woburn“Sensei Nathan runs fully dynamic classes where students of all ranks and experience are consistently engaged and giving 100%. The classes are energetic, allowing students full range of motion and their bodies while practicing real world application to get the muscle memory and experience they need. Sensei Nathan was excited to teach and his level of enthusiasm trickled down to the smallest white belt.“
2 - 6PM
235 Salem St, Medford“My daughter was a pupil here for thier after school program. My little brother was a former student and recomended it to us for our autistic daughter. She is not a very athletic type at all and we had major reservations but decided to give it a shot. Very glad we did. A great bonus is they pick up her from school along with the other students everyday and walk over to the stuido just 2 blocks away. They really were great with her. She is not a problem child at all but due to being on the autistic spectrum understandably would be a harder child to work with during the martial arts class portion of the daily structure. Master Disipio and all other staff was never once discouraging about her extremely slow progress and in fact was surprisingly optimistic about everything especially in motivating our very unmotivated daughter(lol) while still being sensitive to her differences to the other students. All and all a great alternative for the everyday after school program. Each day every child get a mix of play, education, self disipline and structure. Would highly recommend it.“

730 Broadway, Somerville“Excellent teachers Gafa and Gigante! Great respectful students, outstanding cantigos (songs) and instuments. All techniques are in Brazilian Portuguese. Took my first class here and I'm staying. I also noticed they are very respectful of the whole Capoeira community as a whole and as a Brazilian, I really enjoyed everything about them. Reasonable price, they respond if you get in contact, 100/100 experience!“

“It is impossible to give anything other than a five star rating when you consider the individual attention, the care, the experience, the expertise you get here. I simply wish I had started earlier in my training.“
