“Dr mertz is great. I've been bringing a variety of animals to him over the last 10+ years. And prices are amazing for the services. I need to call them soon actually to make an appointment for my tortoises to get their nails and beaks trimmed! I've brought chickens here as well.They do take wildlife for rehab. Call first and make sure you go to the correct door for wildlife. It's not the same as the regular vet section.You can also take a tour of the facility. I think it's like 5 for self guided and 10 for a guided one. I always learn something when I'm there“

I agree with other reviews that it is stressful to not be able to be there with your pet when they are being examined, but I am happy that they take the health and safety of their patients seriously. WAH is always friendly when you call with questions and Dr. Cusick is always quick to address any concerns.“
“We were referred to this vet by a good friend who’s traveled 30-45 mins to get to West Rox. They were absolutely right for it. My anxious min pin had an amazing visit. The vet techs were immediately kind and knew his name, leaning down to give him scratches. The doctor was amazing. He immediately sat on the ground with our nervous guy and chatted with us. He was so informative and patient. Cannot recommend them highly enough.“

“The doctors and doctors assistants are wonderful here. The doctor was super sweet and she and Gisella never pressured my shy dog Honey to do anything she didn’t want to do! They treated her with such gentleness and kindness, and were so patient. This is the place any dog parent wants to take their animal! Of course, it doesn’t smell the best and it’s not a luxury place by any means, but that’s to be expected from a vet clinic. The prices are very fair, the treatment is transparent and quality, and I was blown away by the level of care from the doctor (wish I could remember her name) and the assistant. I will be a lifelong client!“
“My poor Susie needed to have two teeth extracted, it wasn’t easy going through with the procedure and it was really an unexpected cost. However, the staff were extremely attentive and the doctor was honest and caring. I have also noticed a huge improvement in Susie’s mood since getting the bad teeth out.
