I took in my mouse because she developed a fast growing lump. She had a cancerous tumor and the vets explained they could do a tumor removal. I was skeptical at first, since mice are very small and delicate, but they did an outstanding job. My mouse is already back to her happy self and cancer free. The vets were friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell they care about the animals they treat. If you have mice or other rodents, I highly recommend bringing them here.
My granddaughters and I went there to observe The resident animals and maybe catch a glimpse of the vet working. He was actually doing a surgery on a turtle when we arrived. It's nice because you can watch from behind the glass office doors. They had a few resident animals that will always live there because they can't really be released into the wild. There are educational materials on the top floor... Books, bones, microscopes too. There are a few goats outdoors to pet also. For a $5 donation, it is a
worthwhile take in.
I had an amazing time at this vet! Dr. Harry Mertz helped us out with our sweet baby rat, Nettle, who had just developed a URI. He was extremely informative, friendly and smart. This was one of the first times ive been to a vet who didnt just brush off what i was saying, and actually listened and made sure we got the help we need for our baby. He was able to quickly determine the issue and the visit was over within 10 minutes but it was very thorough and i didnt feel rushed at all. He made sure to answer every one of our questions.
