“Barrowclough came highly recommended, especially Paul Newman. I had seen his work at a couple homes. It was perfect. When it was time for us to do a major renovation, we invited them to give us a quote with other contractors. We ultimately chose them, although they were not the lowest quote. We chose to leave our home during construction to give them freedom to do their thing. Not only did Paul work quickly and efficiently, but during the job, he called frequently to keep me updated, and he came up with ideas to make the space more usable and modern. Rather than keep 2 old fashioned pantries, he had an idea to pull off the doors and order cabinet frames and doors and extend the kitchen into the hallway. He pulled out the insides and reengineered them to our custom specs. The result was that for minimal cost (hundreds of dollars) we got much more functionality and efficiency. We ended up adding to the kitchen and dining room job. What did we add? We removed popcorn ceiling, painted hallways and stairwell, painted master bath and bedroom, redid two upstairs bathrooms and more. We came home to a new house in April 2021 just as covid is (hopefully) winding down. What a gift Paul is. I'm happy to show the work that Paul and his crew did. He employs the best subcontractors and partners with them to ensure they are working together well. You can't go wrong with Paul and Barrowclough. Paul is a master carpenter. I would give it 5 stars, if I knew where to post that!“

“Last big rainstorm, I noticed that my roof had leaked. I had dreaded having another repair service come out as I have been burned in the past with incompetent workers (resulting in multiple visits to actually resolve the problem) and over charging. Highly recommend SML Roofing and repair! I selected them based on ratings but also the fact they give elderly and veterans discounts. I felt that said a lot about the values of the company and I wasn't wrong. This husband and wife team are warm and responsive and they were out the next day and very apologetic about not being able to come out that same day. They were very reasonably priced and he even went above and beyond. It seems like in this world between Covid and inflation businesses seem more out for money and this concept personal connection, quality work and going above and beyond while being very fairly priced and guaranteeing work is now the exception rather than the norm. SML is that exception! If you need roof, gutter work look no further! I haven't had a issue with my roof since!“

“Update: Nov. 28, 2023.........The windows arrived on a horrible weather day and the two men who brought them gave me the choice of whatever day I wanted them to return and left the windows in my garage. They came on the chosen day at 8:30 a.m. and never once stopped working until the job was complete and ever speck of trash, etc. was picked up and disposed of. They were great. Two of the hardest working men I have ever seen. I love my new windows, they are so tight we can already notice the difference. Coastal windows & exteriors have been a pleasure to do business with.Ordered 8 replacement windows and had the pleasure of meeting DeAndreae and Roger. My husband and I were very pleased by their knowledge and professionalism and quick response to our needs. We were not expecting to get these installed until possibly December but today got a confirmation that the windows will be in in the next two weeks.
