“My husband and I engaged Mike and ICS for a complete exterior remodel on our duplex in Cambridge, which included (i) installing James Hardie siding and Azek trim, (ii) rebuilding our rotten back porch with composite decking and railings, (iii) installing roofing shingles on the mansard portion of our roof, (iv) removing insulation in our attic that had previously been improperly installed between the rafters by a prior owner, (v) installing new front and back doors, and (vi) installing new interior trim around the front and back door. We are so pleased with the final result and would definitely recommend ICS to anyone in the Cambridge/Somerville area looking for an exterior renovation/siding contractor.Given the high demand for siding contractors, we were worried that the project wouldn't be able to commence until well into the Summer of 2023, but Mike was able to fit in our project for the end of November 2022, which was great. Mike served as our primary point of contact and was communicative, easy-going and a pleasure to work with. He demonstrated a high level of expertise, as did his lead contractor on the project, and both were helpful in offering design suggestions for the back deck and trim. Even working through the cold months of November and December, the crew was on site nearly every day promptly at 8am (even the pretty cold days where we didn't expect them) and Mike was great about letting us know if they weren't coming. Mike and his crew were also very professional, even when dealing with some cranky neighbors, and took care to keep the worksite clean and as unobtrusive as possible for us and the neighbors.We ended up adding on the interior trim install to the project (which had to be re-installed as a result of replacing the front and back door that we were previously planning to do ourselves) and Mike and his crew were super easy going about the change order and didn't overcharge us.We appreciated that Mike and his team had ample experience in Cambridge. During our initial meeting with Mike to discuss the project and obtain a quote, he provided us with a long list of properties where they had installed Hardie siding denoting the color, which was very helpful and reflected that ICS stood behind its work.Thank you ICS for making our home look so beautiful!“

“Chris Sennott and his crew did an excellent job putting on our new roof last week! Throughout the process of getting the estimate and scheduling the job, Chris was straightforward and very responsive by email and phone, and his pricing was quite reasonable based on the other bids that we received (plus he didn't push us to replace things that were still in decent shape). The job ended up getting delayed slightly due to inclement weather, but Chris kept us up-to-date on the revised ETA, and there's nothing you can do about rain! Once we finally had some good weather, the Carroll Sons crew was super efficient (finished the whole job in 1 day!) and they did a great job cleaning up the debris. Chris was also prompt about handing a few touch-ups afterwards, and our condo association is very satisfied with the final results.
