When the furnace was being installed (in a closet where it was placed when the house was built), I noticed immediately that there was no way the door would cover it as the new furnace stuck out further than the opening. The installers phoned the office and every manufacturer was called to see if they had a furnace that would fit the dimensions. Unbelievably, there was not. I have to give these guys credit as they tried tirelessly to come up with a plan that would allow us to close up the opening with a door. I came up with the idea to put a sliding barn door over the opening and it was perfect. It allowed enough air gap for safety. We have been pleased with both units (Goodman), especially with efficiency. We've had to have two service runs and they have showed up promptly same day. Please note the new name of this company (it was sold out) is now Above All Mechanical. Same phone number.“
