“I had a great experience with Holden Hall. He rebuilt the valve quickly and I expect it to last for a long time. I gave the review 4 stars because of sticker shock; not something Holden did. The job cost about $160 and involved replacing a washer. Granted, getting the valve to give up the old washer was a trial, but I think the cost is too high.“

“A backed-up sewer line on a Sunday morning is usually a disaster. I phoned Vessels @ 8:45 am expecting to get an answering machine but to my surprise the on-call administrator (Deleah) answered the phone and by noon a plumber was at the condo working to open the line. He was able to open the line but suspicious of other issues. A camera survey of the line was scheduled which demonstrated major issues in the old sewer line. After reviewing options with the Vessels representatives all parties agreed the best long-term solution was to replace the line which was under the concrete basement floor. A three-day job! Techs Chris, Justin and Josh arrived as scheduled each day, kept me advised of the progress each day and at the end of day three the sewer line had been replaced and new concrete in place. A beautiful job. They were a pleasure to work with! Give Vessels a try. Professional work at a fair price and amazing people to work with. Thanks to everyone involved at Vessels in turning a really bad day into a great outcome.“

Several people never showed and others showed up to take measurements but never got back to me with a price. Jason came in, friendly as ever, gave me a rundown of how he does things. “I should say at the start, I've been a Plumbers Supply customer for as long as I can remember - my father was a pipefitter, and I spent hours at the old showroom and supply house on East Main as a kid, then later as a parts driver, and finally as a homeowner.

While roaming around frustrated at one of the big-box retailers one day, I remembered that Plumbers had opened a showroom on Bluegrass Parkway, near my old office. I scrambled over there, walked in and that particular day I ended up with Nicole Breeland. I don't know how to describe the difference in shopping experiences between big-box do-everything stores, and Plumbers, where the sales folks are intimately familiar with products, navigating their system, and facilitating purchases. Plus, the product quality is top-notch, and the selection is endless.

Nicole had me in and out with hardware, tub and surround, in about 15 minutes. It was refreshing. And it's like that every time I go in.
