“I love that this salon has the EASIEST online booking portal!!!!I wanted a cut so at like 6 am I looked at availability and booked a cut for around lunchtime. I went with Allie today as her available times worked best for my schedule (I've been with several of the girls here and they are all awesome!!). She gave me the BEST cut and we did an herbal treatment as well. My hair hasn't been this shiny in ages. Highly recommend!!!“

“I moved to Crown Point from the UK last year and finding a good hair dresser was high on my to-do list. I wanted somewhere local, so I gave Hair Shaper Salon a try. I was greeted by Bev on the phone, and made an appointment for the next day. I arrived a few minutes earlier, and the by the time I took my jacket off, Bev was handing me a fresh cup of coffee. Overall, great homey experience, very cute/intimate Salon with professional and talent stylists. I've been there every other week for a year and don't have a single bad thing to say. Would definitely recommend to others :)“

“I took my kids ages 5 and 11 to this place for the first time. We had a hairstylist named Candice (not sure how she spelled her name). Anyway she was so friendly and good with my kids. It was the first time we took to my little one to a hair salon and her hair was really long and straight. My older one has wavy/curly hair and for a boy that can be tricky. We actually have a lot of issue getting his hair cut the way he wants but Candice did a fantastic job and we will be back for sure!“

“I have been looking for a new stylist who was good with short hair. My long term stylist just doesn't have the time any longer. I called LaPosh and was told Maria would call me to set up appointment. She called quickly and I was set. I am always nervous trying somebody new. I didn't have to worry. Maria took me at my appt. time, listened to what I wanted and asked questions. I left with exactly what I wanted. I also had a great time chatting with her while she did my hair. Friendly and professional! I will definitely be returning!“

“I started going to Shear Magic in 1994 when I moved to Indiana. Debbie Morrison is an excellent Salon owner. She has a beautiful Salon & Spa. She's friendly and genuinely cares about all the clients. I learned today, 1/25/2022 when I called to reschedule my appointment that the Stylist that has been cutting & highlighting my hair for 27 years left to go to another Salon. I don't understand her lack of loyalty to the owner who gave her, her 1st job fresh out of beauty school. I'm remaining with Shear Magic. I like the personal feel of the Salon. Debbie Morrison now cuts my hair and she actually cut and styled it so much better.Service: Haircut“

“Wonderful experience at Vanis CP, today was my first appointment of many to come I hope, it’s a very friendly environment, from the ladies at the front desk that greet you so pleasantly to the other stylists that smile at you, to your stylist which in my case was Diana, she gave me a true consultation, took her time to give me honest opinions and evaluation of my hair which is so important, we’re not the professionals they are, they know what works best with your texture, face shape etc! She was an absolute gem in that department, she was also sweet and I could tell loves her craft! This appointment was for the consult, and haircut, which also included wash with an amazing scalp and neck massage, dry and style! She carefully explains everything that she uses on your hair and why, so complete and amazing, I can’t recommend this salon enough at this point, I’ve already scheduled my color and smoothing treatment , don’t delay, make your appointment now, you’ll be glad you did!“
“This is the one to go to in this area. The girls are great here. They always get exactly what I want for my hair but they also have great conversations and the place is always busy but there's always enough people to cover it. I don't really know what happened to Merrillville but after the pandemic they have not been able to stay open and it looks like they might just be closed for good. A couple people moved over to this one and said that the boss was much friendlier and open with hours so I'm more apt to go where the employees like working“
