“My kitten needed emergency surgery after an xray at her vet showed she swallowed something metal like a battery. Staff was thorough and clear in communication on next steps, costs, potential complications, permission before handing her to a very skilled surgeon and team. They also were very tuned into her emotional needs as a tiny kitten in the ICU and kept her in a quiet area and well attended. The surgeon Dr. Kienitz and the surgical intern Dr. Sirr were excellent. Her waiting for surgery, just home and one week out.“

“We greatly appreciate the doctors hearing our concerns and collaborating with us on a treatment plan for our pet. Our visit came as a result of needing a 2nd opinion on a surgery. Dr. McKenzie listened to all our concerns, and presented multiple options in an easy to understand manner. When it became clear that surgery was needed, the surgeon, Dr. Weber, performed a seamless and minimally invasive procedure. She was quick to provide updates via phone call, and gave clear post-treatment instructions that have led to an easy-to-manage home care plan. We are so grateful to have our cat, Theo, alive and on the mend!“

“I have been taking my dogs to MAH for over 20 years. They are great. Our rescue pup has needed 2 dentals and has had to have teeth removed and they have done a good job. They provide pain meds, antibiotics and anything else that is needed to help him heal. He does not seem traumatized when he comes home, and he heals quickly. They always call to check on him and making check up appointments is super easy. Always happy with my visits.“

“Every time we passed Skycrest, our cousin would point out that is Zoa's vet, they are wonderful. Sad to say, Zoa's owner passed and we inherited Zoa. Since Zoa meant so much to our cousin, we continued to take her there. Years ago, one of Skycrest's employees found Zoa under a car, ready to give birth, she was if anything a year old. They took care of Zoa and found homes for her offsprings. They approached our cousin, who just lost her cat, and told her they have an awesome kitty for her. They have a picture of her with her kittens and all say hi to her when we bring her in. They have been absolutely helpful with us caring for Zoa, who is 13 years young. She went above and beyond, showing genuine care, compassion, and understanding—not just for me, but for my dog too. Even though I ultimately didn’t go with this hospital because family was able to step in, Heather left such a strong impression that I will definitely consider Preiser in the future because of her. “My 4 month old Labrador Retriever, Hooper, absolutely loves Dr. Marx. She is AMAZING with him, and of course he LOVES when she wears her sparkly shoes! The entire practice has been outstanding since I got him. I know my puppy is in great hands under their outstanding care. This practice is excellent at handling last minute appointments and very responsive to any inquiries. I look forward to watching Hooper grow under their care and nurturing.“

“Love these guys. I’ve been a customer of the Grayslake Animal Hospital for 16 years. All three of my cats got care from Dr. Kevin Marion. He’s such a wonderful vet and a very nice person. He was always upfront with me about illnesses and treatment plans. They even worked with me financially if the expense was over my budget. There’s an after hours on call Vet that I’ve had to call sometimes. They were wonderful in fitting me in for mild emergencies the next day. I can’t say enough good things. I highly recommend this place.“

“Dr. Levine is a dream come true and every single one of the staff here is an absolute angel. I absolutely cried when I moved when I realized I would have to give up this office. I have two sphynx brothers who love going here and would happily visit every day if not for the fact that they hate car rides. Don't let the minor prepayment for your new patient appointment scare you off. I like the fact that the office does everything in their power to ensure that appointments are kept so that they don't have to rush when you are scheduled like human doctors do! Beyond that, their fees are very reasonable and they never shamed me for needing a price estimate up front because of my financial situation. As for their treatment of my boys, you would have thought they were royalty! They treated my two little princes so gently and were so doting that they had a great time every single time we went. Even when my tiny heathens were behaving like scoundrels (walking across laptops, demanding treats, being little piggies when they *were* giving treats, etc), Dr. Levine and her team were incredibly patient. I could also text with questions and pictures! In fact, I'll probably keep the latter up after I move ;) Take your pet(s) here. Especially your cats. I've used "cats only" vets and even those can't compare to Dr. Levine. I can't say enough good things about the whole place.“

“Don’t have enough good things to say about Companion, especially Dr. Sweeney. Our dog, Bruda, had UTIs repeatedly & Dr. Sweeney & Dr. Marrinan were the only vets to actually investigate further and take our concerns seriously (& we saw at least 5 vets prior)! Our dog is now healthy & happy thanks to Companion. We are so thankful for all the guidance & support they have provided the past few years!“

“First time with my newly adopted kitten from Orphans of the Storm. The vet completed a health check, complete with nail trim, a few shots that were due and had time to neuter at the same visit. Friendly, easy, clean. The facility is nice with spacious consultation rooms that would fit a family.“

“Hilltop Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your fur baby. We've been coming here for the past 3 years and won't go anywhere else. Dr Trip he's very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. You can tell he is a total animal lover who truly cares about your pet. I feel like some veterinarians just "do their job" and don't really care about getting to know your pet. My baby Harley adores Dr Trip and always gives him "the lean." he doesn't do that to just anybody. He also talks to your dog not just you. When we pull in he is always excited to go in the door. “I live in the city of Chicago and when the Ophthalmologist left MedVet we had to figure something out. My dog has a lifetime condition and I had to act fast. I called Eye Care and they connected me to the Wheeling office and I haven't looked back. It feels like Dr. Wasserman and the WHOLE team there really care about me and my pet. I call or email frantic messages and they always respond in a calm way. When a pet mom is nervous and out of options the team here really help and not match my emotions. “Dr. Vogel seems pretty thorough, trustworthy & caring! Love being able to check out in room vs. having to do at the desk while trying to wrangle your dog. Very clean! Not giving 5 stars, because it is very expensive, especially the medications, but find me a reasonable veterinarian anywhere!“

“Deer Grove Animal Hospital is one of a kind! We’ve been visiting Dr. Flahaven and his team for 5+ years and we always look forward to our appointments.

When my childhood dog was declining in her old age, they were so accommodating for emergency visits and I will always appreciate how thorough, honest, and empathetic Dr. Flahaven was during that time.

Since then, the team has been so excited to meet and love on all of our new additions! The front desk and vet techs are some of the sweetest people ever. They treat all of my pets like they are their own. I have a pretty nervous rescue pup. He’s 3 years old now and he’s never shown any signs of stress at Deer Grove. I think he really does look forward to it!

Lastly, I just wanted to share some of the adorable things I overheard the vet techs saying to my new kitten while they were literally cleaning gross ear mites out of her ears because it made my day how sweet they were being to her.

“I would recommend this veterinary clinic with my eyes closed, not only are they excellent professionals but they give you the feeling of security. I felt that they were as concerned as I was about the well-being of my cat, despite the area, the prices are not exaggerated, I feel that their costs are very good.
