We have been going to Eye Care for Animals for MANY years and always feel welcomed. We were going out 2 year old Leonberger checked and things did not go as planned, but that's life! He will be having surgery as his lower eyelashes are rubbing on his eyes, especially the left eye. Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow.

After several weeks of unsuccessful treatment for a corneal ulcer at our regular veterinarian, we were deeply concerned that Pinot might lose his eye. I was very impressed that the team performed all tests in the room with us, and the doctor immediately identified the cause and provided an effective treatment plan.
The results were incredible:
- Week 1: After starting the new prescriptions, Pinot began opening his eye.
- Week 2: His eye had completely cleared, and he is now back to his normal self.

Had a great experience with the entire team at the Wheeling location after my dog had a non-healing eye ulcer that my regular vet could not treat. Even though there was a long wait for an appointment as a new client, they notified me of a cancellation and we got in much earlier than I expected. My dog wasn’t the best behaved (very anxious), but the staff was understanding and gentle with him during the exams. We will be back at some point because he is likely have the same issue with his other eye (age related) but we have a plan in place for pre-arrival sedation and treatment. Frank says thank you for helping heal his eye!
