I understand not giving estimates based on what a customer thinks is wrong but when you know you charge to diagnose a toilet then that price should be disclosed. It was $359 to pull a toilet up and diagnose it plus $500 if it was blocked plus $300 for a new flange.

Update: Austin called and refunded our service call and offered to come out to and install a new toilet which we learned is what we needed if we purchased the toilet and had it on site. He was really good to work with. We don't expect to get something for nothing. We simply couldn't afford the quotes we were given and preferred not to have someome come out if our budget wouldn't cover their quote. They not only apologized but went out of their way to help us. I'd recommend them. Most companies wouldn't do what they did. I was honestly speechless when he called. We can't thank Austin and Cardinal enough.“

“Top-notch. Edwardsville's Plumbing has done routine (drain water heater) and large jobs (replace water heater) for us. Always professional, clearly communicating schedule and price estimate, and quality work. Post-Covid, when it was really hard to find repairmen at all, I mentioned to Jeff my frustration at not being able to find an electrician to replace all the baseboard heaters in the house (one of them already broken, the rest just old). He said, "I can do that!" He measured the existing heaters, showed me some options for replacements, and ordered what we picked from a Canadian company. The ordering and delivery proved difficult (we were still seeing lots of supply chain and transportation issues all over the country) and Jeff stayed on top of the whole process, keeping us informed of delays, working out issues with the shipper. When the heaters finally arrived, Jeff and his team installed them in a morning, and hauled the old ones away. As usual, the work itself was expert. Billing for the work was exactly per the estimate. I really appreciate Edwardsville Plumbing's professionalism, ability to do work promptly and neatly, and jump in and go way beyond my expectations. Highly recommended!“
