When they did an amazing job of building back our basement after it flooded, I knew they were the right team for my recent foundational problems in my garage/laundry room. They completely restored both areas with new concrete, so now everything is level & safe. They perfectly built back the walls, installed new doors, painted, & built a great little set of stairs when entering the house from the garage. Looks like a brand new house! This project even involved some plumbing & installation of new water heater - these guys can do it all! “National Energy Contractors just completed a sunroom and deck for us and we couldn't be happier!

We talked to three sunroom companies when we started our project and from the beginning it became clear that National Energy Contractors and its owner Peter Gatsch stood above the rest.

Peter showed us pictures of other sunrooms and additions they had done and talked about his company and the construction process. We were removing an existing deck and weren't exactly sure what we'd wanted to replace it both in size and functionality.

He sketched up a drawing showing his vision of a large sunroom with a smaller deck on the side, maintaining the look of our house and its rooflines to ensure the addition would look harmonious. Later he sent us an initial proposal, including detailed description and the estimated cost. Once we saw this, we knew this was the direction we wanted to go, with Peter leading the way.

He laid out a timeline for the entire project, from the demolition and removal of our existing deck, the build process including construction permits and inspections, to project completion. He told us what to expect at each step, and an approximate timeline when each stage would occur.

Peter assembled a team consisting of an architect to refine the design, concrete workers to do the foundation, builders and helpers, roofers, a door specialist, and electricians. We came to know everybody by name, and each and every member of the team was friendly, skilled, and professional.

Throughout the project, National Energy Contractors kept in constant contact with us, addressing concerns and ensuring the project was flowing smoothly. Peter made numerous visits to our home during the project, dropping off samples, inspecting the construction, and answering questions. He also kept in touch through phone calls, emails and text messages.

Regardless of how many projects he was working on, Peter made us feel like we were his only customer. His responsiveness and professionalism were incredible. In addition, his office assistant Sharon kept us abreast of project status and quickly addressed concerns or questions as they came up. She and Peter kept everything running smoothly, and allowed us to relax knowing care and attention was being paid at every step.

The connection lead, Radim and his coworker Dimitri were responsible for the main construction of the sunroom and the attached deck. Radim is a master craftsman and his attention to detail was incredible. He addressed several project complications quickly, and we were always amazed at the quality of the final result. Radim and Dimitri along with the rest of the construction team did an outstanding job.

“Roy & his team installed soffits on our home in April 2023. They did a superb job and handled our special quirks with smiles and ease. Earlier this year, a piece of trim came loose then ripped off entirely. After installing the specially ordered Charcoal Gray piece, it did not match the installed Charcoal Gray. “Furnace inducer went out. Had different HVAC company come out to confirm and quote a truly ridiculous price. Called a couple more and despite the fact I had the model # and serial, nobody willing to quote price unless I paid for a "diagnostic" fee for them to come out. Mid City was willing to do so, the price was less than the original quote and he even suggested an option to try which, if it worked would mean they wouldn't do the work. That option didn't work, and Keith at Mid City ended up replacing the inducer. His honesty and fairness is the type of treatment from the trade industry that we need more of lately. Thanks Keith, already a neighbor will be calling you around AC season.“

“Zack does an excellent job from start to finish, whether big or small projects- it doesn't matter. We provide electrical services to him and he is great to work for. He does it right and does not cut corners (unless you specifically ask him to cut corners, like for our new crown molding!) I asked about a tricky installation to a sloped ceiling at our house. We had called 4 carpenters who said that it was impossible without putting transition blocks in the corners. It was a small job, so we weren't sure that Zack would have time. He said that it was within his wheelhouse and got us scheduled to the first opening he had. Zack texted on the way to confirm and set up tarps once he arrived. After a practice cut and a few modifications, he got to work. He is incredibly patient, but efficient at the same time. When he finished there were a several little triangle cuts in the trash and he never needed the spare 12 footer that we bought just in case. It turned out perfectly and we get all kinds of compliments about our updated great room!“

“We chose the guys at Waterman Brothers add approximately 600 square feet to our 1950's era ranch home. We received 6 different quotes from 6 different contractors. Their price estimate came in slightly below middle of the pack. Why I give them 5 stars is as follows:Their quality of work is absolutely beyond reproach. It's definitely a good sign when the building inspector says that he always see's the highest caliber work from them and is always impressed by it.They came right on budget (and we even upgraded a few things). How man contractors actually do that? Right? Crazy!They answered every question we had, and were even able to adapt to our crazy changes, like deciding to tile the ceiling of our shower (which look super awesome FYI!).The people they work with in specialty fields (Think drywallers, electricians, etc...) were equally talented and polite. Always a huge plus.All in all, these guys were absolutely awesome. Hands down.My only takeaway that would drop them maybe a half a star were as follows:If you want communication from them, you have to talk to them. They are a fairly quiet and humble bunch, and talking isn't their strongest suit. I suppose if you have to trade speaking skills for quality of workmanship, I'm sold.Lastly, they are a little dirty. Then again, we went through some agressive construction that blew out the back wall of the house. I suppose a little dirty is expected.Again, we're super happy with them, and would recommend them without any second guessing.“
