“Our vet is closed on Wednesdays and we had an emergency with our puppy of course on a Wednesday. I called North Center in a panic to see if they would help us out. Dawn was so incredibly kind. She let me have my panic attack (and cry on the phone with her), she empathized with the situation, and then she got us right in. The entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent. I'm seriously considering switching vets to them for this reason.“

She heard out all of my concerns and agreed to start with the least intervention possible and fully discussed more aggressive options going forward for my elderly cat's behavior issues related to living with our toddler. Very affordable, and she discouraged an unnecessary vaccination which I was grateful for. I highly recommend her for cat care!“
“We are newer to the area and have two cats and no vet. I called them and they got us in right away (Other vets I had called in the area before them said I had to wait a week to see my cat Elery) she could bor wait a week to be seen as she had fecal matter completely stuck to her rump, which can be really unhealthy and cause infection, it was bad and she was super uncomfortable and it came on all the sudden. Dr. Lawrence and her staff were amazing with us in Elery. The clinic is clean and the staff and the doctor extremely professional and caring. I was completely stressed and they made me so comfortable and of course Elery too. When all was said and done even the fee was reasonable especially for the ask and the last minute getting us in and being so wonderful. We Thank and appreciate all of you there and thank you for the welcome Card we received in the mail after visiting. You are wonderful! If you looking for a great place to bring your pet I highly recommend!!!“
“We have been trusting Kohn with our babies for a long time and they have never ever disappointed. You can tell how much they care as soon as you walk into the door. I could go to a closer vet, I could find a cheaper vet but the well-being of my pets makes me continue to return.If you are like me and your pets are pretty much your children you can't go wrong by coming here.“

“My dog had been shaking her head like her ear bothered her. So I kept looking with flash light, and carefully using a qtip. Well Sat I looked in her ear and now it was oozing liquid and look like a thick gel inside. Anyway time to go to vet!! I called my vet at 10:00 Sat am, and could only leave a message. So I called back .Then about 2:00 my vet office called me back!! No now we're closed we can see you Monday,! Monday I work any way I thought of Pet Supplies in Des Plaines just opened a clinic., so I ran over there they were wonderful!!! Better than my vet. Dr. Carol I believe and her assistant!!! Such a great team. My dog is not always easy, she's a rescue from the city 2 yrs living in the streets. Then the pound!! And her ear hurt now so No No!! Well the assistant held her tight and muzzled her very quickly.,and Dr look Ed. Then put it under microscope and say it's a yeast infection. You can take her home and try ear drops or we can do a 30 day drop,and see if it works!! One day later my dog is so happy!!! They were so quick, but not rushed,so reasonable, and very good even with a difficult dog!!! I love them!!!I'll be back“
“Northwest Animal Hospital has gone above and beyond for the special care of my dog, Bear. He is a purebred German Shepherd with pituitary dwarfism. I have been to many vets, and NW were the ones to properly diagnose him and continue to find ways to make sure he stays healthy despite statistics of his diagnosis. “I can't speak more highly of Duke Animal Hospital! I had a very scary emergency with my dog and we live close by. We are not currently clients of Duke but given the emergency they took my dog right away and could not have been more attentive and helpful. The doctor acted quickly and professionally and every staff member went above and beyond to make sure my dog was okay. My dog is doing great!!! We are definitely long term clients now :) Thank you Duke Animal Hospital!!!“
“Since this summer, my dog had inflamed itchy skin that he would lick until it became raw and infected. His other vet gave him an allergy shot and then when that didn’t work prescribed Apoquel. Apoquel also was not effective for him at the maintenance dose. Dr. Siwek spent a significant amount of time with Atticus to identify the root cause and prescribed some supplements to heal his gut. Within two weeks, he was no longer itching and his skin tone was significantly less pink. My daughter and I were so impressed that we started taking some of the supplements ourselves.“

Above all, I appreciate that the vets truly do love their patients; they've made sure to make visits fun and fear-free for everyone involved! “My cat was not feeling well and they were able to squeeze him in during a day when they no appointments. They were very thorough, and kept me updated through the whole process. He ended up having to go a second day for treatment, and they were so kind the whole time. I have been here many times over the eight years I have lived here, and they have always been this way. They truly care about your pet, and even do a call the next day to check in on them. I would recommend this vet to anyone who has a pet, they truly are wonderful.“
