“I highly recommend KWX Corp. At about 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday, I was in the middle of installing a ceiling fan. After completing the installation and turning the breakers back on, nothing happened.
I had experienced a previous problem with this circuit and had paid someone else to repair it. KWX quickly determined that the earlier repair had not addressed the actual cause of the problem.
KWX originally came out simply to assess the situation and give me an idea of the repair cost. After examining the circuit, the electrician diagnosed the problem and offered to take care of it right then. Since this was intended to be an assessment visit, he did not have all his equipment with him, but he asked permission to use a few of my tools and quickly resolved the electrical issue. He then went the extra mile by helping finish the installation and making sure the ceiling fan was working properly before leaving.
I was very impressed with his knowledge, resourcefulness, and determination to make sure we were completely satisfied. KWX provided excellent service at a time when it would have been easy to tell us they would need to return another day. I have already asked the company to provide estimates for two additional electrical projects. That is the best recommendation I can give.”
“This is the second 100+ year-old home in Forest Park that we’ve trusted Ram Jack/Safeguard Waterproofing with — about 10 years apart — and I was happy to see Bob Shipyor was still there managing the process.
Our basement had significant water issues, and this was a big project. Their team installed a full interior drain tile system, repaired multiple foundation cracks, installed a new sump pump system with battery backup, and added exterior underground drainage to move the water away from the house.
Bob met with us twice to go over the project and answer our questions and was always available by phone, text, or email. The onsite crew was friendly, courteous, kept me updated throughout the work, and I never felt uncomfortable having them in our home. They were also very mindful of our landscaping while installing the exterior drainage.
For the amount of concrete work involved, I was genuinely surprised by how contained the mess was. There is definitely fine construction dust afterward — we’re having a post-construction cleaning done — but considering the scope of the project, I expected much worse.
Basement waterproofing isn’t exactly the most exciting way to spend $10K+, but we now have roughly 1/3 of our house back and, more importantly, peace of mind when it rains.
