“We have now worked with Strategem for two separate projects (updating an entire two bedroom and two bathroom condo, including refinishing the flooring) and have been very happy. This was a significant investment, but we are extremely happy we made it and choose Habitar/Strategem. We found the process from start to finish to be very transparent and clearly communicated. Customer service was outstanding. Both jobs were on-time and on-budget.

Process and cost: Mitch was very clear up front with the range of costs for the projects and both the estimate and final billing included details of both materials and labor. This allowed for clear communication about costs and options for ways to reduce cost and what we could expect from the change to our plan.

Construction: The team on-site each time communicated clearly about the timeline and progress, when certain things would occur and orchestrated all of the pieces of the process for us, including the movers when it was time to refinish the floors. When something unexpected came up, they communicated with us about options and expectations of the result. If we wanted something changed, they modified it until we were happy with the result.

“It's not often you have the opportunity to or are even wanting to write a review for a roofing company, but when it presents itself... Clark has been our roofer for a 34 townhome complex for a while - 30+ years possibly. We have been nursing a flat 34 year old roof along (that they did) for the past few years. This roof was WELL past its lifespan and a testament to the prior work Clark did. When it was clearly necessary we needed it replaced, Tom F. was incredible throughout the recommendation and proposal process. He hopped on a Board call to explain the pros/cons of the partial removal of the old roof to lay down the new as opposed to a full replacement. He even stayed on hand when necessary during the work project when things got complicated (skylights leaking, decisions about venting pipes and clearstory windows). Day to day was Mateo. Mateo and his team were THE most patient group, as we managed through the year long project (we asked to spread the work out as best we could for various reasons), dealing with multiple calls from me asking them to also manage the association members requests (walk quieter, move the ladder, sweep up debris). They take care of their workers (calling off when their is any potential bad weather to keep them safe, working SO hard to keep everyone working (we rearranged our schedule when they had another job wrap up early to ensure their folks had a full weeks work), and everyone on site was always super friendly and responsive. There will ALWAYS be something with any vendor you work with. Finding a roofing company that treats their projects like partnerships is incredibly rare. While I joke with Mateo that I hope I never have to talk with him again, as the roof will probably outlive me (!!!!!!), I miss our daily email updates and occasional calls to each other. Additionally, Clark's entire rest of the team (Pam, Lizette and more) is equally gracious, friendly and full of humor - something needed when you're dealing with a roof replacement!”
