The first place wanted $100 (non refundable) just to LOOK at the hard drive - pass. Another spot said they had to send the drives out to a "clean room." But Ken at Mynex just said to drop in and we would see where things were at? Fair enough, I'm glad I did.Luckily, he quickly figured out I just needed an adapter to copy the data, no disk recovery needed (yay). But it turns out Ken is a big music fan and plays guitar, the harder the better, so something that could have been very very expensive turned out to be kind of fun?Headline: Here's a shop which caters to small business owners and doesn't feel to need to jack them up for things that don't need fixing.
