“My hair cut was kind of expensive but everything in Hawaii IS well total costs was $50 (I think that's average since inflation ) and she seemed scissor happy (totally listened to me and warned me if I keep cutting ur not gonna like it- she was probably right even tho she doesn't know me). lmao but I liked the convenience of booking online fast response and fast timely service My hair cut was done and they even had same day service very easy to use website and they take cash and cc Close to my house easy to find communicates well and maybe I'm just mad about my hair being ruined by another salon Well u Park in front of the strip mall faced mauka on Kamehameha Hwy and u walk upstairs bathroom clean and NICE and it's alright nothing to brag about but maybe I should give them another try! Mainly for guys but she is a good little hairdresser with a nice shop support locals I think I'm too much of a critic but this is a great little gem made in Hawaii“

“Was my first time going to Little Royalty Cuts and I loved it. It’s really cute inside and had activities for the kids while they waited for their cut. I took my boys 6,4, and 1. All three have different hair types and all 3 got different cuts. My favorite was the mohawk she did for my son. while each boy was getting cut they were able to watch kid shows/movies to entertain. I loved everything about our visit and will be back again!!“

“I took my 3 nephews(9, 10, 4) in this morning as walk ins and they got to work as soon as we got there! Luckily it was early morning on a Wednesday. The boys and I were soooo happy with their cuts!! We loved them❤️ my youngest was super shy but the sweet lady that helped him was so patient with him and kept talking to him and was incredibly kind. At the end he felt so comfortable with her, he gave her a hug before we left. The other two stylists were just as amazing and so professional! I showed them pictures of what all the boys wanted and they all delivered tenfold. They couldn't wait to facetime everyone they knew to show off their cuts?AND the pricing is fantastic. I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely be back in a couple of weeks! Definitely recommending this place to everyone. Thank you for a great and easy experience❤️“

I told her I wanted a low fade and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She gave me a great haircut and was a pleasure to talk with, telling me about how she left Vietnam in April 1975 on the day the NVA was taking Saigon. It actually turned out to be one of the better haircuts I’ve gotten in my life, and for $15, you can’t beat it!

“(Aunty) Kay has been our family barber for well over 40 years! She's cut my hair from when I was a baby in the booster seat, my father's hair, AND my grandfather's hair! I've seen her keep the shop consistent throughout my 25+ years of going to her! You'll always hear the radio playing in Japanese, with actual comfy bench seats inside the shop as well. They offer a separate shiatsu service, typically done by a gentleman that is in the room next door. The prices are really hard to beat; as of July 25th, 2025, a simple haircut was $16, cash! She was stunned when I told her recently about the going rate for haircuts now! For those looking for a #4 guide, a burst fade, razor drawn designs, eyebrow lines, textured fringe, etc, unfortunately, this is NOT the barbershop for you. She will politely tell you that that's not what she does. She's a self described "Old Fashioned Barber", where everything is done the old fashioned way...scissors over comb, freehand shaping, light product usage after the cut, and most importantly...no ring lights/phones out for social media posting! At times it can be tricky to get an appointment with her, as she only does it through in-person visits/phone calls, getting booked incredibly fast! I know that she does enjoy traveling, so definitely make arrangements prior. Because she runs such a tight ship, make sure to explicitly say what you'd like prior to your appointment time, not afterwards (like if you want a shave/her to wash out your hair after your haircut). That being said, you're going to get an incredibly experienced barber with steady hands and decades of experience. That's definitely hard to come by, considering she's nearly 80! I hope to have my son have (Aunty) Kay cut his hair some day before she stops cutting hair for good!“
