By chance, I came across Heather's studio online in a map of the Kealakekua Bay area and decided to pair my massage with an outing to Manini Beach. There, I took a moment to honor this sacred place of healing as the Hawaiian people do—by giving thanks for life’s abundance and meditating on its blessings.

With this backdrop, centered and prepared by the meditation, I made the short drive to Heather's studio. The massage was exactly what I needed to close my stay, as I surrendered to Heather’s skilled touch. Her deep, soothing strokes and gentle body adjustments revealed her true mastery, while our conversation, when it arose, was as grounding and sensitive as the massage itself. By the end of the hour, I felt wholly present in both spirit and body—an experience of the Tao within the Massage that has lingered, even now nearly a week later, as I prepare to leave Hawaii for the mainland. “My husband and I visited the Big Island on our honeymoon and were looking for a romantic massage/spa experience. Let me be the first to tell you to skip all of the big-name resort spas and come out to Mamalahoa! Our experience was completely magical. The twilight package was already booked but we called and they were able to get us in a little earlier for a soak, 60 minute massage, and 90 minute soak, which was absolutely perfect. We’ve been to a few spas and nothing was as romantic as this experience. They had everything we needed and the staff was very kind, and professional. The massages were absolutely amazing, and it was so relaxing to enjoy to the sounds of nature. The hot tubs are customized to your temperature of your liking and attended to while you’re away. Besides that, you are given total solitude, relaxation, and privacy. I cannot recommend this experience enough to anyone. We were staying in Waikaloa, so we had to drive out, but we’d do it again 100 times over. Absolutely wonderful!!“

Was given a 1 hour full body massage, which helped all of the areas including the painful areas. The calming music and focused massaging let me disappear from the pain I feel every day. The environment was very comfortable and inviting. Julia was able to break up tight calves and relieve the stress in my neck and shoulders.
