“After hand surgery my doctor informed me I would need to go to Occupational Therapy. It was something I dreaded, I don't have the time nor I am looking forward to the pain. After visiting with Shillane Richards, my preconceived notions were soon dissipated. She was professional and personable. Actually, she was more than phenomenal -she is THE BOMB.. My twice weekly appointments became something I was actually looking forward despite the pain. Our interactions were amazing, she helped me to continue added therapy at home. I soon found myself needing additional Physical Therapy for peripheral neuropathy, which introduced me to the rest of the staff. My experience with the Winter Park location has been nothing short of amazing. This staff became so much more than therapists; they became partners in my Healthcare and they became friends. The environment Elizabeth and her team have created is mind blowing. Patients all know each other by name, we seriously care about each other. One patient said is car was in the shop and he was taking an Uber home. His home was one my way, so I dropped him off. That is the environment Winter Park has fostered. We have celebrated medical milestones as well as personal milestones- birthdays and weddings. A fellow patient hated the mother-of-the groom dress the bride picked, I told her she needed to bling it up. I offered her the jewelry I wore to my daughter's wedding, and she looked stunning. Patients and staff have a bond in a way I can absolutely say I have never seen before. It feels like a family. Yes, we are there to receive needed medical therapy but what we have received is so much more - a personal connection; one I believe makes the Winter Park team is the greatest asset Ability Rehabilitation will ever have.“

I’ve been seeing Heather at StretchLab in Winter Park for a month or so and I'm already feeling much better, more flexible and surprisingly relaxed.

The best stretch session I've ever had. She found tight spots I didn't even know I had, explained everything clearly, and didn't push past what felt safe. Left feeling loose, aligned, and way less back pain. I went in with tight hips and came out feeling like I got a reset button. She doesn't just stretch you — she teaches you why you're tight and how to keep it from coming back. 50 mins of targeted, pain-free mobility is what I needed more than I thought.

What stood out wasn't just the deep stretch — it was how much she actually listened and knowing my personal issues, Heather takes very good care of me. She did a quick mobility assessment first (hips, hamstrings, and some other parts I can’t remember the name of but exist… Lol), explained what was tight vs. what was just compensating, and then built the whole 50-minute session around that.
No generic routine that’s used on everyone, or rushing through the clock. She talked me through each stretch, checked in on pressure, and gave me home movements so I wouldn't undo everything I’m accomplishing.

I walked out each week feeling more balanced and looser. My low-back tension is gone, but more importantly, my legs, hips and thighs feel amazing. I sleep better at night and walk better.

“Dr. Matt Young and his team give excellent care. Following a thorough evaluation I've been given a program that includes muscle strengthening, massage, and joint manipulation. Matt listens, and answers my many questions thoughtfully and succinctly. Patiently too! He has provided print outs and online links to home exercise that helps alleviate my arthritic pain between sessions. The facility is clean, and pleasant. It has a spacious parking area as well. While Dr. Matt and Dr. Chris provide a constant presence, techs and interns rotate from being undergraduates to working in house to graduate programs. They come and they go. But no matter who on staff is working on a particular day, the spirit is cooperative, lighthearted and caring. I am grateful for the team at Sportscare West Fairbanks.“
