“My Computer Tech is the best! My wife’s computer got the dreaded blue screen with a message that said “Something Went Wrong” then it automatically rebooted. The sign-in screen looked totally different and wouldn’t allow her to sign in. It kept giving an error message saying “The ProfSvc service failed the sign-in. User Profile cannot be loaded.” I went online and tried every solution I could find for hours including several attempts to “Restore” the computer to previous settings, but all failed. Microsoft was no help either as we are both still using Windows 10. I took it to Shawn, who had helped me with a monitor problem last year. He looked it over and had a few additional ideas to try. He also thought there could be a hard drive issue. He said he would let me know what he found out. I told him my wife does a lot of research and stores a lot of data including articles, documents and photos she’s taken that are very important to her. I also said I wasn’t very good at backing up her hard drive regularly so, I was sort of in the doghouse too. I told him to do whatever was needed and if nothing else, try to save those files from the hard drive. He contacted me within 1 business day and said the hard drive had some bad sectors and he replaced it with a new solid-state drive (SSD). He also upgraded it to Windows 11 and was able to pull all of my wife’s irreplaceable data and photos from the old drive. Needless to say, my wife and I are ecstatic and extremely pleased with Shawn’s work. The computer works like new! The repair cost was extremely reasonable too. We highly, highly recommend My Computer Tech and would seek Shawn’s services again in a heartbeat!“
