“Update: I’m changing my review to 5 stars after my follow-up experience.

I originally had a frustrating scheduling/communication issue and was told I could not schedule because of prior missed appointments. I did not remember being clearly informed that I would no longer be able to be seen, so that was upsetting. However, the new office manager reached out, listened kindly, looked into the issue, and handled the situation professionally. I appreciated that she did not come across as defensive and seemed focused on solving the problem.

They worked me in with Dr. Nathoo, and the appointment ended up being excellent. He is genuinely the best dermatologist I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. He spent a generous amount of time with me, examined my concerns carefully, and answered both my current questions and several longstanding skin concerns that I had carried for years.

One of the most important parts of the visit for me was finally getting clear confirmation and education about vitiligo. I have had these concerns for a very long time, and Dr. Nathoo examined the areas with proper tools, explained different patterns/types of vitiligo, and helped me understand what I was seeing on my skin. The autoimmune aspect was also important to me, and I really appreciated being taken seriously and educated instead of brushed off.

He also reviewed my prior biopsy report with me, explained what it meant, looked closely at the scar, and discussed what could realistically be done. He explained why another biopsy was not needed at this time since it would likely cause more scarring, which made sense to me and helped me feel reassured.

I also appreciated how thorough he was with other concerns. He evaluated an ear issue and explained more specifically what it was, which corrected what I had always assumed. He also identified another skin issue as eczema-related when it had previously been thought to be something else. He addressed facial skin/acne concerns, discussed medication options, and explained the plan clearly without overwhelming me.

The medical assistant who worked with me was also excellent. I unfortunately did not catch her name, but she had glasses and was the assistant who roomed me for my appointment. She was warm, organized, and attentive. She helped make sure all of my concerns were noted, remembered the areas I had pointed out before the doctor came in, and helped keep the appointment comfortable and on track. Raj at checkout was also very kind.

Overall, I felt that the office made a genuine good-faith effort to repair the situation, and the medical care itself was outstanding. I’m glad I gave them another chance. Based on this visit, I would recommend them, especially if you have multiple skin concerns and want a doctor who will actually take the time to explain what is going on.“
