“I initially chose Maichle’s because I wanted a second opinion on a certain heavily advertised HVAC firm's diagnosis of a cracked heat exchanger in my downstairs gas furnace. Maichle’s guy ran the same test with a live camera, confirmed that there wasn't a crack and double-checked the result by doing a CO test on the system. With that sense of trust established, I hired them to replace the upstairs system as the second condenser out back had indeed died. We compared the options and went with Mitsubishi mini-splits. It was a difficult installation; our home was built in 1860 and the walls are THICK. Plus, they had to deal with our Historic Area Commission on placement of runs and condensers. Their elegant solution made the HAC happy as well as their customer. It's been more than a year and the system(s) keeps us cool and comfortable. Good people, family owned. Go with the local guys!“

“We just had to Replace two of our air conditioners. Richard came out review the systems and gave us a quote. Told us to get additional quotes for comparison which we did. Comparison quotes were higher than what Richard was offering so of course we went with National. We had four technicians out. Dave reviewed all of our air conditioners, cleaned and inspected them. . Unfortunately he could not repair one of them so we ended up having to replace it and one that was old. The three guys that came out were exceptional. Connor, Jake and Gabe were polite, professional. “We called Jem 5 years ago after having another company come charge our AC, for 250 dollars, for it to only cool the house for 24 hours. I attempted to call that same company during working hours and left a message. I never received a call back. At that point I looked on line for another company. Enter, Jem Comfort air. They came out the same day even though it was past office hours. They charged it and informed us we needed anew unit. Within 36 hours we had a new unit and the fee for charging the old one was applied to the cost of the new unit. They also installed a heat pump at my sons house. Then we had problems last night. The ac was not cooling. I called at 645 pm and Rick said he would be out. He arrived and in 5 minutes had it working by replacing a small part. He was friendly and very helpful. Please consider this company for your heating and ac needs.“
