I originally stopped by for a bang trim and exclusively would get my haircut from a stylist 2,000+ miles away (not sustainable) so I had to find a local stylist for my shag hairstyle and not only Theresa killed it but I will now only be getting my haircuts from her as long as I am in the DMV! I've gotten so many compliments since her cut - she takes her time to listen to your needs. I came in after the worst haircut of my life and needed someone to do literal surgery on my hair. I had only the semblance of an idea, but he asked me for reference pictures and then worked according to the most similar cut that would also fit my face well. The thing is that he would stop and explain his thinking, show/give me options, and then wait for my decision to do anything, which I appreciated immensely. He has a great eye for seeing a style that will fit you, but he won’t just make a cut without your consent.

I remember walking out of the salon feeling so much confidence restored after a month of hiding and fighting with my hair. For my second cut, he did the same and gave me a beautiful chopped bob (new style for me).

Bodhi has so much skill with his hair tools, and you can tell he is both very comfortable and experienced. I absolutely would trust him if you’re ever looking to make a bold cut. It’s expensive but worth it - he will walk you through it and make sure you come out with something you wanted and are excited about.“

“Y’all, when I say I had the best experience with the best outcome, I am not messing around. The manager was my stylist, and he was so kind, consent-based (trauma-sensitive), and knowledgeable, and he followed my lead on whether to talk. I have a pretty insensitive scalp, too, so I always want someone to feel free to use as much force as would be helpful to them, and he did so perfectly (after asking, of course). He also gave me great advice for a product to take with me, and didn’t try to upsell me on an add-on, even though I said I was open to suggestions—he clearly just cared about doing what was best for my hair. The place itself is super clean, with friendly staff, cold water to drink, and two big TVs (on which 13 going on 30 was playing :)). I wish I had a place like this where I live! If I did, I would definitely get the monthly package deals.“
