The representative shows compassion during the difficult time in addition to making it convenient for the family for making arrangements. I was impressed with their efforts and attention to details in making my love one’s appearance acceptable to the family. And preparing for the services, they did not try to push services that were not necessarily needed. Ronald Taylor funeral home reached out to the family a couple of days after services rendered to check on the family. That was very impressive.“
“They were incredibly kind, compassionate, and provided a space of healing and comfort in such a difficult time in my family. We are very grateful for their support and service.“
“From the initial conversation to the last, Francine and her staff were so professional and courteous. I’ve never had to go through this process before, and they provided updates every step of the way while answering all of my questions. I truly felt that my loved one was in the best hands. During such a difficult time, Genesis Cremation & Funeral Services put me at ease. Thank you!“

1313 6th St NW, Washington“On behalf of the Caudle, Wilkerson, and McClelland families, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love, support, and exemplary service shown to us during our time of bereavement.
The Robinson Funeral Home embraced us with open arms, making our experience not only memorable but profoundly meaningful. The prayers and service provided were nothing short of exceptional, and they transformed a time of deep sorrow into one remembered with grace, love, and even joy.
We are especially grateful to Sister Precious Robinson for her compassion and swift intervention on the day of our beloved Vincent’s passing. Her efforts to promptly secure his remains and bring them to your facility, despite the delays and complications within the insurance system, were extraordinary. Because of her actions, we were spared the added pain of having Vincent’s remains transported out of the city, which would have only deepened our sorrow. That single act of love and trust brought us immense comfort, and we will always remember it with gratitude.
Additionally, we want to acknowledge the care and sensitivity shown in preparing Vincent’s body for viewing. Given his physical condition, having lost a significant amount of weight, we were uncertain about the possibility of an open casket. However, after thoughtful consideration and consultation with Precious and her team's work, we were at peace moving forward with the viewing. Sister Precious went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the preparation. The extraordinary work done made it possible for family and friends to find peace, dignity, and closure during the service, an immeasurable gift to all who came to say goodbye.
Another moment that stood out to us was the opportunity you gave us to close Vincent’s coffin as a family. It was a moment that will remain with us forever, something we had never experienced before, yet it was so thoughtful, intimate, and deeply symbolic. That moment of participation brought us a sense of peace, release and connection that we will never forget. It was a quiet, sacred act that brought great comfort to our hearts and helped us truly begin the healing process.
All of your prayers, kindness, and thoughtfulness have been and will continue to be a deep source of comfort to our family in the days ahead. We are truly grateful. And to you, Ms. Precious: thank you. You truly live up to your name, which means “valuable, esteemed, special, and beloved”. While we understand that this is a business, it is an even greater blessing that you choose to serve with such heart, compassion, and care during some of the most difficult and challenging moments in people’s lives. Your presence in this work is a gift to every family you touch.
John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.” The love and service that Robinson Funeral Home so faithfully lives by is a priceless reflection of God’s heart, something no words or wealth could ever truly repay.
Yet, in the spirit of gratitude and love, we offer this seed offering to Ms. Precious as a humble gift for her ministry of bereavement. May it serve as a small token of our appreciation for her selfless service and the heart with which she carries out her calling. It has been an honor to work with you in making Vincent’s celebration of life truly memorable in the most precious way (no pun intended!).
Thank you for your service as unto the Lord.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
From Our Hearts,
Walteara Caudle, Ashley Wilkerson and Sheila McClelland Families

“When my aunt was dying (nine years ago), I decided to also have my mother pre-pay her funeral arrangements. My mother's funeral was held two days ago, and meanwhile I spent a lot of time on the phone three days ago with Joyce's colleague Betsy. As with Mike from nine years ago, Betsy was *very* helpful and pleasant. Also as with my aunt's funeral, Joyce attended my mother's funeral - and again, everything was handled perfectly & sensitively. Joyce is very compassionate, and her colleagues also reflect that.“

I would recommend them to anyone who wants to be treated like a family member and not just a customer.“

“**Gratitude That Echoes Beyond Words**
In our darkest hours, Snead Funeral Home became a beacon of light. Their kindness did not end with the service; follow-up calls and handwritten notes in the weeks that followed reminded us that our healing mattered to them. Their actions whispered, “You are not alone,” and that assurance has been a balm to our hearts.
To the team at Snead: Thank you, from the depths of our souls, for turning an agonizing journey into one marked by grace. You honored our loved one with reverence and lifted our family with your compassion. In a world where genuine care can feel scarce, you are a rare blessing. Your work is more than a service—it is a ministry of love, and we will forever cherish the peace you helped us find. ???“

1661 Marion Barry Ave SE, Washington“The service From Frasier Mason Funeral Home was awesome. Mr. Taylor and his staff picked my mother up from the home and took the time to sit and make arrangements that meet our family needs. We viewed the body the day before the funeral, she looked like she was sleeping. The staff was professional and showed compassion when dealing with us. Mr. Taylor, even checked on the family after the funeral. We were pleased with the service we received.“

4001 Benning Rd NE, Washington“I used Stewart Funeral Home, DC, in May 2025 for services for my husband and from the initial visit (reception) to the last, which was to pick up the death certificates, I have only positive things to report. The staff with whom I interacted--Mr. Lewis, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Rush, and Mr. Bowman--treated me with utmost respect, showed compassion, and were knowledgeable and capable in their respective roles. (I took note that the staff worked as a team.) Whenever I contacted the FH by telephone for any reason, I always received a pleasant greeting and felt valued. The family viewing, services at the church and cemetery all were carried out with dignity and well to my specifications and expectations. I never had to ask one question. or request any change. This was my first time using the services of Stewart Funeral Home and I highly recommend them for a quality, professional, first rate funeral for your loved one.“

“Alex and team were true professionals who were very pleasant to work with, but they really went above and beyond in handling the funeral for my late grandfather when they were able to get the Air Force to provide burial services. It was unclear if the Air Force could attend as they were heavily booked and my grandfather was discharged many years ago -- but at the last minute they were somehow able to recruit the Air Force to attend, which provided our family with a great sense of pride and made for a special ceremony. We're deeply grateful that we had Alex and the Gawler's team to help us get through a difficult time, and highly recommend that anyone choose them if looking for a funeral home in the DC area.“
