Wanting to get some exercise and do something fun, my husband and I started taking group dance lessons back in 2019 through our town's continuing education. Our youngest son's wedding in 2020 was further motivation to learn. Those lessons closed down with COVID and never came back.
Through that program we learned that not only is dancing fun and good exercise, it engages your mind too. Looking to get back to dancing, we discovered the Fred Astaire dance studio in Old Saybrook. We started with a free lesson and were hooked on the energy of the instructors. We continued with the 5 beginner lessons and were amazed at how much we had learned in such a short time. I would say it was comparable to what we learned in a year of group lessons through continuing education. We are just finishing up our social foundation lessons with Thommy and have truly enjoyed every minute. Thommy is so talented, and he really cares that you not only learn the steps, you also learn what gives each dance style its unique characteristics and style so you look good doing them. He's funny too. I highly recommend learning to dance at Fred Astaire of Old Saybrook!

We recently hired Peralta Landscaping LLC for landscape work at our Old Saybrook home. After receiving recommendations for the business on Facebook, I reached out to the company via their website. I received a reply almost immediately and set a date to meet with both Quiana Peralta, who manages the day-to-day operations for the family business, and her husband, Will, who does the work with other members of the family. The team worked non-stop and did a great job resetting a garden border, refreshing landscaping stone, moving some large perennials, pruning a very large rhododendron, and removing several small stumps. The communication throughout the process was excellent as was the professionalism and quality of the work done by these gentlemen in very hot conditions. RD Wildlife. Timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and, most importantly—successful. We had a nuisance raccoon—one not at all afraid of approaching humans. Called a few animal control services—all not local but each recommended Rich. Glad I reached out. Rich set traps that evening and caught her the same night. Issue resolved. Moreover Rich also looked for possible litter and continued to trap for male in the area.Bottom line. If you need nuisance animal services call Rich at RL Wildlife. If I have a problem in the future RL Wildlife is my #1 choice.

Jude has been cutting my hair for over 30 years! In that time she has become a friend as well. She is a true artist.She takes her time and gets to know each client and always delivers a perfect cut. Great owner and friendly staff. I always go to Jason and have recommended him to many friends for cut and color. He truly knows his craft and has great suggestions on face framing cuts and adding in some nice layers and textures.

I went to have my beard trimmed and (Courtney?) did and excellent job. I have had my beard trimmed 4 times this year and the only 2 times it was done correctly was when it was cut at Mike's barber shop. Another great thing about getting my beard trimmed here is it's on $12. The other two places treated it like I was getting a hair cut and charged me as such. Finally, I went for an unscheduled appointment, and there were four people ahead of me with two barber's cutting hair. I was outta there in less than an hour. Abingbattaboom!

I loved it! It was my first time ever getting my nails done here and it was amazing! The prices are well in my range as well! The basic pedicure that I got, it was so nice! The whole atmosphere was so calming and relaxing! Their dog is also super cute and friendly!! I highly recommend this place! The prices super reasonable and the whole place is calming! They also make sure the nails are very well done as well and that you like what they are doing!!

Been coming here for about 6 months now & I've been enjoying it! I get acrylics with gel polish & they usually last the whole 3 weeks between my appointments, despite me being pretty hard on my nails. I've been making my appointments the day before with no issue & I really appreciate that! Everyone here has been very nice & the price is hard to beat. Thanks!
this place gets 5 stars even though I did not get services here. Got coffee & scone at the business next door (which denied me restroom use. As a woman 9 months pregnant in summer—Dagmar’s. Do not recommend that business) However, the staff at Villa could not have been nicer about letting me use their restroom. If I lived closer this place would definitely get my business!

I recently had an age-defying facial with Elaine at Bella Estetica , and it was truly exceptional. The treatment incorporated a thoughtful combination of techniques—deep cleansing, exfoliation, advanced serums, massage, and targeted rejuvenation steps that worked together seamlessly. Elaine’s skill, care, and attention to detail were obvious from the moment she began.
She has a calm, confident way of explaining each part of the process, and her expertise shows in the results. My skin looked so refreshed and radiant afterward that I joked it could practically glow in the dark. In all seriousness, the transformation was immediate and noticeable.
This was easily one of the best facials I’ve ever had. Elaine is wonderful, and Bella Estetica is lucky to have her as well as having such an awesome, inviting manager Roseanne greeting you ! . I usually don’t write reviews but there was a situation that happened when I was getting my nails done where I didn’t feel too good and started to feel faint. All of the workers rushed to help me and gave me food and a place to lay down and feel better. I cannot express my appreciation for everyone who works here. Along with their helpfulness they also are very skilled at what they do. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

If Beth Clark were a composer she'd be Mozart. Beth listened to my thoughts and concerns. I named two famous people with cuts I love. Beth then had free reign. She cut clipped, brushed and dried my hair with mindful focus. I am getting my 7th haircut today. I can't wait to get there. So sorry it took me so long to post this over due post.

Samantha is an absolute rockstar and very passionate about her work. She is doing a coverup of 3 tattoos I have hated for years, Her ideas and patience is extraordinary. I am still a work in progress, but will post both before and after photos when completed. I can’t recommend her enough. She is the definition of an artist, her attention to detail is on point, and she definitely is a master at her chosen craft.

Sonny was polite and efficient. They fixed my toilet on 12/22. Called at 11 and I was given a time frame of 2-4. Arrived at 2 pm and replaced the parts needed in one hour. Highly recommend this company. Changed name from Patterson due to family issues. Very happy with response time, price and efficient work.

We engaged Waterview last year, and found the work to be excellent. One of our major goals was to be good stewards of the land, ensuring that native plants would thrive, enriching the environment, and attracting birds and insects. Waterview delivered in spades! Brenda is a fabulous designer - she helped bring our overgrown land areas to life with native plants and flowers, different textures and colors, with minimal care requirements and no mowing needed. The redone stone walkways and new stone patio are just beautiful. Those who worked on the walkways and garden were diligent and focused, delivering high quality. They were so hardworking that our neighbors noted it and remarked on it. Highly recommended.

How does A 5 star review on Google hold a candle to the unique approach taken by Dr. T throughout my ENTIRE “brain camp” experience?
I don’t think I will ever be able to capture and deliver in words what he has done for me. It is truly a gift from GOD the way he combines specific and intricate care using an extremely scientific yet heart felt approach.
I am a 37-year-old “retired” rn after a small back injury at work resulting in one surgery after the next, as I continued to lose sight of myself further and further.
After 27 doctors and specialists plus bottles of pharmaceutical meds to control the “” chronic nerve pain “”, failed back surgery, and very rare diagnosis of pudendal neuralgia…I was headed for surgery number six.
There was no option for me to give up as I have a four, seven and eight-year-old who rely on me to be a calm, loving, and supportive example when their reality was an angry, reactive, mother in pain who believed I was totally incapable of ever being a fraction of the person I once was.
Not only am I grateful for this experience, but I am blessed to have gone through the horror I did in hopes that someone out there reading this knows that they are deserving of the correct kind of holistic care, functional medicine, and multiple modalities/ treatments that Dr. T and his beautiful wife Cynthia offer at the Kempinski clinic.
I have not only made seriously measurable gains throughout brain camp, but have gained a permanent lifelong tool belt of knowledge, support, Self-awareness, and the ability to change my bodies unwanted reactions and responses that affected my health so drastically.
I was often told by most doctors and surgeons I would likely never feel my left leg/foot again and I would never be able to sustain a manageable level of pain.
I am beyond happy to suay I now have the proof to educate 27 medical doctors in the United States that they were WRONG!!! Not only did I gain serious sensation back into my left leg and foot… I am 100% drug free, vape free, and Pretty much pain-free (and I’m living life)!!!

You come away from Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook feeling like the entire team -- from reception, to vet techs, to Dr. Shrack -- love your pet as much as you do. Great folks. And we've had to be there a lot in the last few years with an aging pup.
We cannot say enough good things about this veterinary hospital. Unfortunately, we are here quite often for one of our high maintenance dogs! Every time, we are greeted by friendly technicians who are so patient with his very high energy. I think it speaks volumes that our dog absolutely LOVES going to the vet to see all of his friends.
All of the doctors are so patient, professional and knowledgeable. They provide both of our dogs with the best care. We have the utmost trust in their recommendations. They have referred us to specialists at other hospitals on occasion and have continued to follow the care of our dogs. They do not just hand off their care to someone new.
I think one of the best things about this hospital is that the doctors are always available. Anytime I call with a question or email, I always am able to connect with a doctor within minutes with the answer. This is rare to come by so I've found out!
All of the doctors and technicians here are truly amazing. We are so lucky to have them. We will never take our pets elsewhere! Thank you for being the best of the best!

Went to Tai massage last week had a very relaxing 1 hr massage. Started to fall asleep felt so good, will definitely be back !!!!!!!
Despite some bad reviews I decided to give Rainbow massage a try, as I had woken up with the worst neck pain of my life, and they were readily available. She gave me an excellent full body massage, and focused more on my shoulders and neck as requested. She was very attentive the entire time, for my full hour.
There were some sounds outside the room such as footsteps and water running, but it was mostly infrequent.
I just went again today, one week later, as I had pulled/sprained something in my neck again. Once again left feeling much better. Would definitely recommend.
