Our 8-month-old Doberman, Maverick, needed some extra help with obedience and learning how to settle and feel comfortable around strangers. From the very beginning, the team was absolutely incredible with him. We received daily texts, photos, weight updates, and details about what he was working on and how he was progressing. Everything was always communicated in such a positive, encouraging, and uplifting way.
Before coming to Art of Dog, Maverick had gone somewhere else for training. After one difficult day, we were essentially told he was a “monster.” I was heartbroken and honestly at a loss because that just wasn’t the sweet, loving boy we knew at home.
Then we found Art of Dog in Longmont, and they saw exactly what we saw in Maverick. They took the time to understand him, work with him, and bring out the best in him. The progress he made with them has been amazing, but what has impressed me just as much is the support we’ve received since bringing him home.
They continue to check in with us, make sure we’re doing well, and remind us that they’re there if we need any help or guidance. They also sent us home with an incredibly detailed homework plan and videos so that we can continue reinforcing everything Maverick learned.
Maverick truly is the love of my life, and I don’t say this lightly: Art of Dog is the only place I would trust with him. ❤️
