Our 8-month-old Doberman, Maverick, needed some extra help with obedience and learning how to settle and feel comfortable around strangers. From the very beginning, the team was absolutely incredible with him. We received daily texts, photos, weight updates, and details about what he was working on and how he was progressing. My dog went to the Longmont location for a 3 week board and train for obedience. He’s super reactive and it was getting to the point where it was not enjoyable to go outside with him for even just a simple walk. The trainers (mainly Emily) worked with my dog and she did a fantastic job! He is much more disciplined and has been keeping up with what he learned at the academy with not much need for me to reinforce what he learned. I’m very impressed and am excited to be able to board him there if needed and to be able to have the ability to reach out to AOD if my dog needs any help.
I'm happy to share our experience with Art of the Dog Canine Academy. We have 2 dogs (mixed breeds) aged 2 and 5 that attended AOD 2 months ago. Prior to attending, we were having many issues that included constant barking (inside and outside), reactivity when guests visited our home, chewing, scratching at doors, barking inside crates. It had gotten to the point where our nervous systems were pretty fried and our neighbors were clearly not thrilled with us (understandably).
