“I would recommend Solar Optimum without any reservations. They did a great job installing my solar pv system. After doing a lot of research online and interviewing 6 companies in person or over the phone, I chose Solar Optimum. My salesperson was Joe Hawley out of the Ventura office. Joe was great, very knowledgeable and experienced and was not high pressure and didn't expect me to sign the same day like some other salespersons. I went with 36 Panasonic 330 watt panels and Enphase microinverters with panel level monitoring. I also got a main panel upgrade since my existing panel was 100 amp and the upgrade was a 200amp solar ready panel. I signed the contract on 5/23 and everything proceeded very rapidly. Though I worked with Joe out of the Ventura office, their main operations is in Glendale and everything was coordinated though the Glendale office after signing the contract. After design and permits were approved, Installation of the solar panels and main panel upgrade took 2 days and the following week on 7/3 the stucco repair for the main panel upgrade was completed and the city inspector gave final sign-off. I received permission to operate from SCE on 7/10. The entire process took a very quick 7 weeks. I know a lot of that time can depend on third parties like the city for permit and inspections or the utility, but it seemed like Solar Optimum did their best to keep the each of those parts moving along. I posted a similar review for the Glendale Solar Optimum listing as well since that office took over after the sales contract was signed.“

The pitch is 10/12 (roughly 39.81 degrees) which required several cross-beam step supports up along the roof, of course. As you can imagine, this all requied much more energy and stamina at that angle to meticulously work over the several, sunny days. “Bert and his crew are a joy to employ on our jobs !They recently made short efficient clean work of replacing 5 rafter stub ends and 16 feet of roof sheeting that is exposed in the soffit of our style of roof.We had termite damage and they removed and replaced the damaged wood. They carefully removed the roof "peeled it back" by carefully pulling the nails in the shingles in the required areas.They were meticulous about this and were able to reuse 100% of the shingles!The 3 or 4 guys were all skilled and happy. Happy - like people are when they are allowed to do good work and are appreciated for it !!!I'm NOT easy to please when people are working on things for me. I truly dislike dealing with unskilled people. I really loathe bad bosses that put people who can't speak any English in situations where they will need to speak English! Bosses that just expect me to give up and just let the unskilled worker screw things up or do poor or unsafe work.That is why both my awesome wife and I absolutely LOVE SLOAN ROOFING!!!Smart people and an excellent work culture of do it right, use the right materials and fasteners, clean up overnight and secure everything nicely, and speak to each other as calm intelligent people! Note that not all of them speak English well.
