Terra nails it every time. I recommend this place to anyone asking for a good spot and even recommend when they’re not asking. Worth the money paid. “Let me start by saying how cute and comfy Ivy is. So nice to walk in to a salon and feel the weight of the world fall away.
I was greeted and offered something to drink before we got started. I'll preface this with the fact that my hair is nuts! It has multiple textures and is stick straight on top. It's not easy. I always dread moving to a new location and having to find a new stylist who will know how to cut my hair. Well, I found that person in Nicole. She's the owner and really knows her stuff. She knew exactly what to do and gave me a great haircut! It's literally perfect. I had a great experience. Nicole is great at what she does and she's easy to talk to, making for just the kind of experience we all want when we go to the salon. I highly recommend Ivy Mae.“

I book with Corey for a cut and color every few months. My natural hair since childhood is dull, frizzy, and wiry no matter what I do. The second photo is the result from my last visit, no keratin, after I slept on it.
I want the complete opposite of a standard salon cut nor what is suited to my hair type. No layers or volume, attacked with thinning shears until I say stop, jagged edges, etc.
The execution is like it's a daily occurrence for her. It's so tailored to me that walking out of the salon feels like a piece of my identity has been restored.
