Helen worked with me multiple times to pick out the countertop quartz, shower wall set, extra pieces to make the curb, and finally the quartz shower pan. “(TLDR: Hire him. You won't regret it.) We blame Josh for kick-starting the full remodel of our kitchen... ha ha ;) Our 1980's kitchen made it difficult to find a new refrigerator that would fit in the existing space. We called Josh and he measured to figure out what to trim for the fridge we wanted, took away the too low upper cabinet, cut it down at his shop, brought it back and re-installed it. You couldn't even tell that he had cut it! We were stoked to get our new fridge and have it fit into the custom space Josh created. Fast forward a couple months and we thought -- well, maybe it's time we do the whole kitchen? We hired a general contractor who suggested some cabinet suppliers - we got quotes from $8K - $35K+ for pre-fab cabinets. Because of our space and the stock options these cabinet suppliers provide, we were going to end up with smaller cabinets/less storage than we already had and with a design that we just didn't love. No thanks. At that point we thought, well, maybe we could work with Josh again? But we were nervous that custom cabinets would be out of our budget. We asked Josh to come to our house to talk through some options (mind you, no other supplier would) and he did. He LISTENED to us and what we wanted, was transparent about pricing and offered options that worked within our budget. He got back to us quickly with a quote, and we went for it. If you need ideas, he's your guy. We didn't change the footprint of our kitchen, but we now have more storage -- all because Josh came up with great suggestions like a cookie tray/cutting board cabinet next to our dishwasher where other suppliers would have left us with a filler/dead space. He also went above and beyond in paying attention to details -- he built a box in the same material as our new lower cabinets to surround the existing beam on our ceiling so it matched. Talk about tidy and clean - he took great care in covering all surfaces and being extra careful not to ding anything, he also swept and vacuumed each day when he left! If you have ANY questions he's always there to answer them with patience -- his communication is clear, concise and fast. Was JDB Cabinetry the cheapest option, no. Was JDB Cabinetry the most expensive option, nope - definitely not. Especially considering how much work and time he put into communicating with us and coming up with ideas on top of designing and making our cabinets. Are we stoked with what we ended up with - YES. I'm still walking around pinching myself that we have the kitchen of our dreams. We really couldn't be happier and we would recommend Josh time and again for any cabinetry work. He is second to none.“
